Bio

I am a woman driven by purpose, passion, and a little bit of toddler chaos. As a single mother to an incredible 4-year-old boy, everything I do is about building a legacy and showing my son what it looks like to follow a calling. Currently, I run my own doula business. My client vibe is casual and deeply supportive, but my commitment to maternal health is fiercely serious. I’ve seen where the healthcare system fails birthing people, and I refuse to sit on the sidelines. My "WHY" is clear: I am entering nursing school this fall as the first step toward my ultimate goal; earning my Master’s to become a midwife. I want to be the provider who listens, heals, and protects. Balancing entrepreneurship, clinical training, and motherhood takes a village and an unstoppable drive. With the support of donors, I’m ready to turn my vision into systemic change.

My journey toward a career in nursing did not begin in a classroom or a lab; it began in the sacred, raw, and transformative space of the delivery room. As a professional doula and independent business owner, my daily life is anchored in supporting families as they bring new life into the world. With my business the vibe is all about warmth, real talk, and creating a casual, grounded environment where birthing people feel safe, heard, and deeply cared for. However, underneath that approachable energy lies a fierce, unshakeable seriousness about maternal health. It was through witnessing the systemic gaps, biases, and clinical shortcomings within our modern healthcare system firsthand that my ultimate "WHY" was born. I realized that while love, comfort, and emotional advocacy are vital, they are simply not enough to fix a broken system. To create systemic change, I need to step into the clinical space. The spark that truly ignited this calling was my experience navigating pregnancy and parenthood myself. Today, I am a proud single mother to a vibrant, high-energy four-year-old boy. He is my absolute world, my greatest joy, and the heartbeat behind my ambition. Going through the maternal healthcare system as a patient opened my eyes to how vulnerable birthing people truly are, especially those from underserved communities. Later, when I transitioned into doula work, I saw those same vulnerabilities mirrored in my clients. I watched as patients’ intuition was dismissed, their voices drowned out by rigid protocols, and their autonomy stripped away during one of the most monumental moments of their lives. I refuse to sit on the sidelines and accept these outcomes. I decided to pursue nursing because I want to bridge the gap between heart-centered advocacy and high-level clinical expertise. Entering nursing school this fall is the foundational first step of a much larger vision. My goal does not end with an RN; I am locked in on continuing my education to earn my Master’s degree and become a Certified Nurse-Midwife. I want to be the provider who changes the narrative. I want to combine the gentle, patient-led philosophy of midwifery with the rigorous clinical training of nursing to ensure that every person who steps into my care feels empowered, protected, and safe. Balancing the demands of a business, an intense biology-heavy courseload, and raising a preschooler takes a village, relentless grit, and an unstoppable drive. There are days of absolute toddler chaos, followed by late nights of studying and early morning client calls. But every sacrifice is worth it because I am building a legacy. I am doing this to show my son exactly what it looks like when you chase a calling with everything you have. I want him to grow up knowing that his mommy didn't just talk about making the world a better place—she rolled up her sleeves and did the work. Ultimately, my inspiration is a mosaic of the four-year-old boy who inspires me to be great, and the birthing families who deserve better, safer care. Pursuing nursing is my vehicle for systemic change. With this degree, I will not just be entering a profession; I will be answering a lifelong calling to listen, to heal, to advocate, and to protect the future of maternal health.
