Motivation is difficult to hold on to at times , life gets harder as you get older. As an 18 year old African American , living in Atlanta Georgia . It’s always been a dream to graduate and go to college . Why? I want my siblings to know that we can make it , to stand strong in what you believe in . Stay positive and motivated even on your darkest days. My brother ( 16 years old ) was shot three times . One of those bullets going into his head , he survived. That’s my motivation. My cousin (15 years old ) shot 3 times one of those bullets going in his jaw. That’s my motivation. To make it out and move them into a home so they don’t have to fight to be alive everyday . So they can be successful. So our generation will not fall into the statistic of a typical African American . To teach them that the whole world isn’t against us , and there are people who want to help . My motivation comes from family , close friends, goals. How will I make it, if I don’t keep going ? How will I teach my generation to stay motivated and keeping pushing through battles if I don’t? I’ve always wanted to help everyone and I still do . But it’s take leadership, positivity, encouragement, help, pushing through, and accountability. So I’ll do whatever to show my people that we are motivated and we will be better .
