Bio

College wasn’t a straight line for me. I’m a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, father, first-generation college student, and senior completing my B.S. in Informatics at Indiana University Kokomo. Before my grandmother passed away, I promised her I would earn my bachelor’s degree. That promise is still one of the reasons I keep going. My interests are cybersecurity, privacy, legal technology, and digital safety. Technology now touches banking, education, healthcare, veterans’ benefits, work, and everyday life, but many people are left to figure out online security on their own. My goal is to help make cybersecurity and privacy easier for everyday people to understand. Outside of school, I’m a dad first and I volunteer with young people in my community. I want to finish my degree, reduce how much I have to borrow, build a career protecting people through technology, and show my daughters that taking a longer road does not mean you cannot finish what you started.

Long term, I want to create simple digital-safety guides, workshops, or tools that help families and veterans understand scams, account security, privacy, and identity protection.
