When I was 12 years old I was awakened by my grandmother at 1 in the morning. She said something was wrong with my grandfather and the ambulance was too far out so we would have to take him to the hospital. My grandmother drove 80 miles an hour and got him there but the whole time after we were waiting on tests I was freaking out. No one asked me how I was doing except for one nurse, she didn't even work on the floor we were on but she asked how I was doing. No one wanted to give us information on my grandfather's care but someone she came back with news. I want to be a nurse because I want to not only help patients but also their families. Not only do I want to help people but I want a career that is challenging and interesting. Making a difference in someone's life is all I've ever wanted to do since a young age. When I become a nurse I think I want to be a general nurse practitioner or a NICU nurse.

Have you ever received that look? You know the look, it's the one where everyone looks at you weirdly because they think you cannot do it because no one before you has ever done it. My mom is incredibly hard working but because she is who, she is people think I am going to be just like her. There's nothing wrong with my mom, she is the best, but i want to be better than her. I do not want her to struggle. Iv have been overlooked for opportunities and have joined clubs but not received updates or emails just because people do not want me to be in the same club as them. I know that i am a hard worker but everyone else does not and I just want to show them that. I want to go to college and live that life of my dreams and I will definitely do that and make my mom proud. Because of everything I have been through it has made me work hard than everyone else, although people brush me off like lint or a breadcrumb on their shirt i don't let that affect me, in fact it makes me stronger and my dreams even bigger. For the future I would love to be a charge nurse/RN, and have my own business helping low income families.

I have so many dreams for my life so it is hard to pick one. But I would have to say it is one where I wake up everyday excited to go to work. My life would be one where I have my own business, I am helping people in need everyday, and I get to travel the world. I love helping people so starting my own business and being able to do that would make me so happy. Also traveling the world because it is so beautiful and not a lot of people get to see it. But most importantly I want a life where I am not in need nor struggling. I do not want to worry about bills or stress, I just want to live a happy stress free life and save other lifes. But being my own boss would have its perks like making my own schedule !
