Hi, I’m Deiondria Sanders, a passionate advocate for public health and mental wellness, pursuing my Doctor of Public Health degree at Jackson State University. I am deeply committed to improving health outcomes for underserved communities, especially African Americans and low-income individuals in Mississippi. Losing loved ones to hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and suicide has fueled my passion for addressing health disparities and equitable healthcare access. I am a Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority member and a volunteer of many public organizations. My resilience, drive, and purpose-driven vision make me a strong scholarship candidate. Balancing full-time work, graduate studies, and personal challenges, including the loss of my brother to suicide, has strengthened my determination to create impactful policies and programs. Scholarship support will help me continue my education and advocacy, building a future where everyone has the tools to lead healthier, happier lives. Thank you for supporting my journey!
