Hi, I’m Deiondria Sanders, a passionate advocate for public health and mental wellness, pursuing my Doctor of Public Health degree at Jackson State University. I am deeply committed to improving health outcomes for underserved communities, especially African Americans and low-income individuals in Mississippi. Losing loved ones to hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, and suicide has fueled my passion for addressing health disparities and equitable healthcare access. I am a Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority member and a volunteer of many public organizations. My resilience, drive, and purpose-driven vision make me a strong scholarship candidate. Balancing full-time work, graduate studies, and personal challenges, including the loss of my brother to suicide, has strengthened my determination to create impactful policies and programs.
