**Red Dinosaur Colored Pencil Drawing** For this project, I drew a red dinosaur using colored pencils. I chose to make the dinosaur red because I wanted it to stand out and look strong. I know dinosaurs probably were not bright red, but I wanted to use my imagination instead of making it look completely realistic. I think using a bright color makes the drawing more interesting and catches the viewer's attention right away. I used colored pencils because they are easy to control and let me add a lot of detail. I layered different shades of red to make the dinosaur look more realistic and added darker colors for the shadows. This helped give the drawing depth instead of making it look flat. I also spent time working on the scales, claws, and face because I wanted the dinosaur to have its own personality. Even though it took patience, I enjoyed adding the small details because they made the drawing look better. One thing I learned from this project is that art doesn't always have to look exactly like real life. Sometimes using your imagination makes a piece more creative and unique. I liked having the freedom to choose my own colors and decide how I wanted my dinosaur to look. It helped me become more confident in making artistic choices. This drawing also reminded me why I enjoy creating art. It gives me a chance to express my ideas in a fun way and try new techniques. As someone who wants to become a PK–12 teacher in the future, I hope I can encourage my students to be creative and not be afraid to make mistakes. I want them to understand that art is about expressing yourself, learning from the process, and enjoying what you create. This project helped me grow as an artist and gave me more confidence in my abilities.
