I am David Cao, a freshman student at Cerritos College as well as a member of Economics club and Accounting club where I inform club members of upcoming campus activities and events. As of now, my short term goals include completing my GEDs in order to transfer to a 4 year institution with both Economics and Accounting degrees; my dream schools being UCLA and UC Berkeley. As for my long term goals, I am looking to develop valuable teamwork and leadership skills through internships and volunteer experience within my campus environment and the overall community. In addition to that, I want to become financially prosperous to the point where my income is large enough to support myself and my family without incurring insurmountable debt. I am most passionate about economics, accounting, and personal finance; linking those three studies, I believe, allows me to develop a holistic view of how to achieve financial prosperity. I enjoy learning how the concepts of economics are inextricably linked to almost every decision I make, be it choosing colleges, weighing two options to choose a favorable one, and my purchases. Accounting gives me a closer look into how businesses—led by people—manages their expenses and deal with liabilities.
