“Hi, today I’m making a movie," said a 6-year-old me, filming herself. 11 years later, I’m still holding a camera striving to capture images that people will remember forever. I am currently a high school senior studying in the best linguistic gymnasium in Togliatti, Russia, “Gymnasium No. 38." I also graduated from 3 filmmaking schools, where I networked with independent filmmakers as well as organized and participated in the production of several short films. For the last 7 years, I’ve been building my film-oriented TikTok account (71k followers). Hence, I developed such qualities as determination and diligence. What's more, I managed to create a community of people who are united by their love of digital media. One of my main goals is to cover hot issues through my art; thus, I created a video on global warming, which got more than 300k views and made people think, argue, and discuss. As an international student from Russia, pursuing education in the United States comes with significant financial challenges. While I am deeply committed to my academic and creative goals, my financial resources are limited. Receiving a scholarship would not only ease this burden but also allow me to fully focus on my studies, grow professionally, and contribute my work to a global community.
