One of my biggest life goals is to continue pursuing my degree as I transfer into the Cinematic Multimedia Arts major at Hawai’i Pacific University. Once I obtain my Bachelor’s degree, I intend to intern as a graphic designer and make my way up in the digital art world until I can reach the status of a well-renowned creative director. I am very passionate about balancing a practical and supportive lifestyle with the activities that I truly love. For example, a career in the art and design field is the perfect balance between doing what I love and doing what I can truly support myself with. The rest of my passions revolve around ensuring that I am leaving the Earth better than I found it, supporting my communities, and reaching my fullest potential. I believe I am a great candidate because, regardless of all the challenges and set-backs I’ve experienced these past few years, whether it be the pandemic, an alcoholic and abusive roommate, the separation of my family, or the loss of my loved ones, I have put my education above all else. Through overcoming depression and PTSD, I was able to escalate and maintain my 4.0 GPA throughout my entire time with City Colleges of Chicago. I have made the dean’s list and ranked top in my class. I am a member of both the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
