Bio

I am a strong interpersonal communicator, team member, and organizer with a propensity to lead. I have experience working with organizations focused in employment law, immigration law, economic development, community development, housing issues, border relations, and civic engagement. Through these experiences, I have witnessed and worked with individuals and families struggling to survive the everyday economic, social, and legal challenges of life in the U.S. These stories of heartache and determination are at the core of human existence. What I have seen from these communities is something rare and powerful: mutual aid, solidarity, collective ownership of responsibility. What if we all felt a responsibility for each other? What more could we accomplish? I believe that human society is only operating at a fraction of its full potential. We have overcome and overshot the goals of our distant ancestors in innovation and technology, but humanity still has far to go in building communities that serve everyone and bring all of us across the finish line. We need to learn how to practice radical compassion and empathy and use that lens to push ourselves to a new collective prosperity. I believe we all have the potential to be radically driven to help our neighbors through action, education, and community service. I am deeply passionate about fighting for broad social change and human rights advocacy. As an attorney, I intend to be a leader in this fight to advocate and lift up the voices of underrepresented communities across the country for generations to come.
