Bio

Hello! I am a student at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM pursuing a Bachelors of Zoology. I am also interested in Physics and would like to branch out into that field, possibly changing my major.

To discount the existence of a Creator is to ignore the intelligence and wisdom that is evident in all matter. The form and function of each cell, or each molecule, each ecosystem, expanding out to the universe, has purpose and design. There are specific laws that govern the movement of the planets, electrons and protons and the migrational patterns of varying species at specific seasons. It is insane to me the idea a mechanism like a simple washing machine, floating in space, could be shaken for thousands of years and not only would all the pieces come together, but that it would start to function correctly. No matter how many millions of washing machines you did this with, none would evolve into a functioning machine, much less start running without an electrical source. If you were to be walking in the woods and you came upon a beautiful cabin, you would assume someone had built it. How much more intricate are cells and organisms, that not only do all of their parts work together to function, but they do so with such an undeniable wisdom and also with beauty. Correlation does not always mean causation, and this is what also leads me to see the intelligence in the design of a gull's wing and a humpback whale's flipper without believing that they have to have stemmed from a common ancestor. They are used for propulsion, so they are similar in shape as they are dealing with similar forces of gravity, whether they be on the wind or in the water. Would it not make sense for them to be similar? Carbon-based life forms are comprised of similar elements, but wouldn't that make sense seeing that we all live on the same planet and though we live in different environments, we are negotiating with the same molecules? The perfect angle of the earth, the speed at which we turn, the relative steady position that our planet possesses in correlation to our star so that the earth is not too hot and not too cold, makes life sustainable, so that our atmosphere is supported. The position of our moon, which keeps us in place, the way the other planets move about in our solar system, like a cosmic ballet, keeping everything in balance and in the right place, despite our constant movement... How is this not extraordinary evidence of a loving and intelligent God? Our planet is not only designed to be livable, but enjoyable. The colours and varieties of the plant life that we eat and enjoy, the millions of different and unique species of animals that bring us great happiness and wonder as we observe them, how is this not evidence of a loving God? When we pet a cat, snuggle with our dog, ride a horse, look at a sunset, enjoy a campfire with friends or listen to the sound of the waves of the ocean crashing upon the beach, we are flooded with peace and contentment. We are also lovingly designed, to heal, to be happy and to take care of the Earth. The more I discover, the more I learn about the sciences, the closer I am drawn to the Creator, and the more in awe I find myself.
