I am an introverted girl navigating the college process as a first-generation student trying to make her Mexican immigrant parents proud. As a full-time high school student that works 25 hours a week, and partakes in dual enrollment, I try to spend my free time with my dog and volunteering. I love to spend my free time volunteering at the local animal shelter and hospital. I also have volunteered and been a part of projects related to the Hispanic community to create more representation. I have researched unknown figures from the Chicano Movement and created visual presentations about them as a way to educate the community and keep their legacy alive. I am a proud Mexican-American who has obtained the seal of Biliteracy. I have a passion for the medical field and have been CPR-certified since I was 16. I am currently pursuing a degree in Health Science thanks to my school's dual enrollment program, but I hope to one day become a nurse!
