My brother who goes to California high school recently lost his teacher who was also a psychologist major. The pain that I saw on my brothers eyes when I picked them up from school was bad because my brother Alan knew that I was chasing a dream of becoming a psychologist as well and he didn’t want me to fall into bad depression or die like his teacher. From moving houses to houses starting at South Central I finally ended up in a nice city of Whittier where i plan to continue my education at cal state university of Fullerton. However I may drop out in my second year due to the financial aid I do not get or money that I receive because I am pretty poor sadly. This scholarship can really change not just my life but the world as I explained that I promised lower suicide rates.

Mental Health is the reason on why I chose psychology to be my major. Being born and raised in South Central La was by far the scariest experience I’ve gone through my life. I’ve seen really bad things at such a early age and that made me so Mature than most of the youth during my high-school years. Now I am 21 years old with goals to succeed in being a sports psychologist one day and working for LAFC down the street from the house I was raised to show my family who stayed living in the hood/ South Central Than anything is possible !’n
