Bio

I am a senior at Sun Valley High School planning on attending a 4 year college to pursue Civil Engineering. In addition a to being a hard working student, I have also played football, baseball and wrestled from youth organizations through all 4 years of high school. I am proud of both my academic accomplishments as well as my recognition in sports. This year in football all, I received an honorable mention as All Ches Mont offensive lineman which was first year moving to the O line after 3 years on the D line. In 2024 I received the JV wrestler of the year award from my longtime coach, the late Tommy Ellis. In my youth, I was awarded the sportsmanship award several times due to my flexibility and willing to do whatever it takes to bring success to my team. I take great pride in my positive team focused attitude and feel it will serve me well in my life.

Playing football throughout my youth has taught me many valuable lessons, such as dedication, passion, commitment, discipline, perseverance, teamwork, adaptability, and respect. As a kid and now young adult who has always been very shy and introverted, football has allowed me an outlet to express myself. Over the years football allowed me to express the assertiveness I struggle with in my personal life. I was able to battle through a lot of aggression by leaving it all out on the field each game. The team comraderie has blessed me with many treasured friendships. The team mentality has served me well in sports and school, as well as my personal life. It is always important to me to look at the end goal and what is best for everyone as a whole. This is an important character trait that I definitely attribute to My experiences playing football. Adaptability is another trait where I’ve often been told I stand out. I have played various different positions and have always been willing to shift and adapt to meet the team’s needs. An example of this was this, my senior year of football. A few weeks into the summer my coach asked if I would be willing to switch to the offensive line after years on the Defensive line. Although I knew it would be an adjustment, I knew that is where the team needed me most so I did not hesitate to agree. I often played both D line and O line throughout the season and ended up with an Honorable mention as OL All Ches-Mont. My coaches faith in me has helped me grow confident in myself and my abilities to rise to any challenge and I will always be grateful for their time, guidance, and all of the lessons they instilled on and off the field. I know all of my experiences have helped shaped me into who I am today and will serve me well as I move into adulthood.
