The top three life goals I have are… 1. Earn my master's degree in biohazardous threat agents and emerging infectious diseases 2. To use my degree, skills, and knowledge to work in biodefense to help support the United States in health security from infectious diseases and biological weapons 3. To travel the world, continue to experience different life cultures and learn new languages I am most passionate about coaching and mentoring others. I like to help support and guide new employees and students on the opportunities they have within STEM careers, share with them my experiences in a STEM career, and provide them with the resources and tools to make the best decisions on their future career and life choices. Additionally, I find it rewarding and healing to share how my parent's divorce and subsequent physical and emotional abuse by a relative for 10 years, affected my mental health and my ability to thrive in high school and my early undergraduate education. The support I received to move past my childhood traumas allowed me to have a fresh start, and develop both academically and professionally. I am a great candidate because I have various life experiences, which make me a well-rounded person and have set me up for future success. I am a leader, coach, and mentor. I have the passion, drive, and knowledge to navigate difficult situations. My morals, ethics, and high degree of integrity keep me on a path toward selflessness and service to the community, the country, and the greater good.
