My name is Dana, and I’ve always felt a deep responsibility to care for others—whether that’s people, animals, or anyone in need of a little extra compassion. That sense of purpose has guided so much of my life, from my time as a collegiate athlete to my current journey in nursing. I’m someone who leads with heart and shows up fully, even when things are hard. I believe deeply in kindness, integrity, and the impact we can make just by being present for others.
Right now, I’m pursuing my BSN with the goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I’m especially drawn to geriatrics because I believe our elders deserve patient, respectful, and skilled care. There’s something incredibly special about being able to sit down with someone, hear their story, and making sure they feel safe and valued in a stage of life that can often feel so incredibly isolating. I want to be that kind of provider, someone who brings warmth and attention to detail, who doesn’t rush through moments that matter.
Outside of healthcare, I’ve always had a passion for animals. I’ve spent time volunteering with non-profit animal advocacy organizations, and I believe strongly in protecting and caring for those who can’t speak for themselves. That same drive to protect and advocate is part of what fuels me as I move into this next chapter of my career. I want to be part of restoring dignity and peace wherever I can.
I also come from an athletic background. I played and coached volleyball at the collegiate level, and those experiences taught me the value of discipline, leadership, and community. Being part of a team shaped how I show up in every area of my life. I know how to work hard, stay focused, and lift others up along the way.
I want to make a difference in the world by combining my passions: caring for people, advocating for animals, and being a steady, hopeful presence wherever I’m called to serve. I’m not just working toward a degree, I’m building a life that reflects what matters most to me. Nursing is the path, but connection and compassion will always be the mission. To walk alongside others in their most vulnerable moments and help them feel seen, respected, and genuinely cared for. That’s the kind of nurse, and person, I am to be every single day, day in and day out.
