I am a Business Administration Major in my junior year at Fort Valley State University. Besides, I am the first of my mother's children to earn a college degree setting the pathway for my younger siblings. I seek to gain scholarship opportunities to help lessen my burden. As my family background being raised by a single parent of six the struggles, the everyday necessities limited and the perception of society. The scholarships will pave the way for me to focus on my studies and other important matters. Due to my financial crisis, I spend most of my time finding jobs and ways to get funding. As a result, most of the time is spent outside classes. The lack of enough funding also makes me give up other necessities like healthy eating or buying books needed for schoolwork. Receiving a scholarship will help me achieve my dreams. Additionally, it will allow me to attain the academic excellence I strive for, which eventually opens me to successful career opportunities. This step will enhance my life, making me a successful and resourceful person in the community. Some of my values are trust, honesty, proactivity, and hard work.
