My name is Cung, and I am a dedicated Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Arlington. As a first-generation college student with a strong work ethic and a deep passion for innovation, I am committed to using my education to solve real-world problems and create a better future. I work hard both academically and personally, currently balancing my studies with part-time work while actively seeking new opportunities to support my education.
I believe that through perseverance, faith, and community, any obstacle can be overcome — including financial ones. Receiving this scholarship would not only ease the financial burden on my family but also allow me to fully focus on my education and future career. My goal is to become a mechanical engineer who contributes to advanced technologies, especially in the automotive industry. I am driven by a desire to give back, support others, and become a role model for future generations.

My name is Cung, and I’m currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. While I’m proud of the path I’ve chosen, my story is about more than academics or career goals — it’s about purpose, perseverance, and the desire to leave the world better than I found it.
Growing up, I often heard that success was something you earned through hard work and honesty. My family didn’t have much, but they gave me a strong foundation of faith, humility, and resilience. I’ve worked hard for everything I have — not just for myself, but to honor the sacrifices of those who believe in me. Now, as I continue my education, I am driven not only by the desire to build a future for myself, but also to become someone who builds for others — both literally, through engineering, and relationally, through service and leadership.
Mechanical engineering captured my heart because it combines logic with creativity. It allows me to solve real problems that people face every day, whether that’s designing safer transportation, more efficient machines, or sustainable technologies. I dream of one day working in the automotive industry — particularly with a company like Porsche — where I can be part of shaping the future of mobility and design with excellence and purpose. But more than just contributing to a prestigious company, I want to use my skills to inspire younger students, especially those who come from underrepresented or struggling communities, and show them that they, too, can pursue STEM careers and achieve their dreams.
I also plan to use my career as a platform to bless others — not just through innovation, but through giving. I know what it’s like to face financial stress as a student. That’s why one of my goals is to support scholarships and mentorship programs in the future. I want to help build a world where young people with big dreams don’t give up because of money or fear, but push forward with the confidence that someone believes in them — just as I’ve been fortunate to experience through the support of others.
At the heart of everything I do is my faith. I believe God placed me on this path not only to build machines, but to build people — to encourage, serve, and bring light into dark spaces. Whether it’s through tutoring, volunteering, or simply showing kindness in my everyday relationships, I strive to be someone who reflects integrity and compassion in all I do.
Receiving this scholarship would not only relieve a significant financial burden, but it would also be a vote of confidence in who I am and what I hope to become. I am determined to finish strong, graduate with excellence, and walk forward into my career not only as an engineer — but as a servant, a giver, and a faithful builder of both futures and lives.
