First and foremost, I am a sinner saved by grace. I always try to put God first in everything that I do. I have a wonderful husband that is truly my second half. I am a mother of 6 young women. I have always wanted to become a nurse. I raised my kids first and am now pursuing nursing school to achieve my calling. I teach Sunday School at my church and volunteer to lead our women's fellowship meetings. I love to sing; I am our children's choir director. I am so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful group. They help push me to achieve my goals and support me whenever I need a little spiritual reminder that this is my calling. I have run my own business to provide in-home health care to low-income people or those who couldn't get on any program for help. So many people have blessed me. I worked at a home health business, doing their payroll and working in the field to get through school. They have been excellent at working with my schedule. I work for God, and whenever I am called to do labor, I hold myself highly accountable for what I do. In my downtime, I like to crochet; I learned how from my grandmother when I was a child. She left me with so many beautiful memories and a skill that lasts a lifetime. They are so proud of themselves when they make something of their own. I would very much appreciate a scholarship to help with my college fees, book, and tuition, as well as to help take the pressure off of some of my bills that run my livelihood and keep a roof over my head.
