Bio

Hi there, I am currently a nursing student at Cal State Long Beach. My goal in life is to give back to the community and to my parents who were immigrants who worked hard to support my education. I want to become a nurse because I believe it is one of the most rewarding careers. I get to be able to offer compassion and treat patients from all walks of life while being engaged in my favorite academic subject: science. I believe I am a good candidate because my future goals include advocacy and philanthropy. In the future, I would like to advocate for patients, for better healthcare, and to help those in need in my local community and other communities as well. For example, I'd like to travel to underdeveloped countries to provide healthcare services to those in need. With some financial help, I can ease the financial burden of nursing school on my parents who have been working to help me pay for my tuition, and hopefully, I can graduate with less school debt. In the past, I have worked as an academic tutor for kids and volunteered at the hospital. Through these experiences, I learned that I love working with kids, especially in the healthcare setting. Therefore, I am aspiring to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
