My name is Crystal Ayad, and I am a student pursuing a degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology. I returned to school with a strong sense of purpose and a desire to build a meaningful career in healthcare. I have always been interested in science and the way the human body works, particularly the cardiovascular system. The opportunity to be involved in procedures that help diagnose and treat heart conditions is what inspired me to pursue this field.
As a parent, my daughter has been one of my greatest motivations for continuing my education. I want to create a stable future for my family while also setting an example of perseverance and dedication. Returning to school as an adult has strengthened my discipline, focus, and commitment to personal growth.
My goal is to become a skilled invasive cardiovascular technician who contributes to patient care during critical procedures. I am passionate about learning, helping others, and building a career where I can make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.

The decision to return to school and pursue a degree as an invasive cardiovascular technician came from a place of reflection, hope, and a deep desire to build a better future. For a long time I thought about where I wanted my life to go and what kind of example I wanted to set for my daughter. Becoming a parent changes the way you think about success and purpose. It is no longer only about personal goals. It becomes about the values you show your child every day and the example you leave for them to follow.
My daughter has been the greatest source of courage in this journey. When I look at her I think about the kind of world she will grow up in and the lessons she will carry with her. I want her to see that growth does not stop when life becomes busy or complicated. I want her to understand that pursuing your goals takes courage and persistence. Going back to school as an adult is not always easy. It requires long nights of studying, balancing responsibilities, and pushing through moments of doubt. Yet those challenges have also reminded me that determination can create new opportunities.
The field of cardiovascular medicine inspires me because it allows people to make a real difference in the lives of others. An invasive cardiovascular technician plays a critical role during procedures that can save lives and restore health. The idea of being part of a team that helps patients during some of the most serious moments of their lives gives me a strong sense of purpose. I am drawn to a career that combines science, precision, and compassion.
More than anything I want my daughter to grow up seeing that education and perseverance can change the course of your life. I want her to know that even when something feels difficult it is still worth trying. I want her to strive toward excellence and greatness. By returning to school I am working toward a career that can provide stability and opportunity for my family, but I am also showing her what it looks like to keep striving for something better. My hope is that one day she will look back and feel proud of the example I set. I want her to see that courage is not about never feeling afraid. It is about choosing to move forward anyway in pursuit of a brighter future.
