I believe I deserve this scholarship because it will help me achieve my future plans and long-term goals. I aim to make a difference in my community, and this scholarship will absolutely help me in more ways imaginable. I am a single mother who has fought hard to finish my degree and I am 100% doing this for my daughter who is aged 3 to have a better future. If I won, this scholarship it would mean the world to me. I am a hardworking and dedicated person who has overcome many obstacles thrown at me to show my daughter that anything is possible with ambition and believing in yourself. I haven't worked in the meantime due to being a full time student and this would help my financial situation. I am aware that this scholarship has plenty of people applying, but I do think I deserve this award because of my background. Not only do I meet the criteria of a 3.5 GPA, but I have also volunteered in several school activities that revolve around helping my community. I am a person who loves to help anyone in anyway that I can to be a role model for my daughter. I want her to know that she can accomplish anything no matter what and to raise her to be a wonderful women who will make me proud. I work extremely hard in my studies to be able to provide a better future for my daughter since I grew up with my parents struggling, we never had much. Growing up I never really had anything because my parents couldn't provide. I was bullied a lot for it as well due to not having new clothes or shoes or getting a new backpack each year. These things from my past have molded me into a driven person to make sure my daughter has everything I couldn't. She is my motivation and my goal is to make her proud of me.
