Scholarcash Role Model Scholarship
My role model would be my papaw. At a young age, my dad started being in and out of my life so my papaw stepped up and took on the part of helping my mother and stepdad raise me. He was always my father figure and anytime I was in trouble he was there to solve it. He helped shape me into the person I am today as he taught me a lot about respecting others and most importantly myself. He taught me to never let someone else tell me who I am or should be because I would never be happy. Since that day I have always been myself whether it is my personality, fashion, or doing my makeup. He always pushed me to do my best in whatever I decided to participate in and to never give up no matter how hard it gets. I now obtain a 4.0 in high school and I am planning to go to college to be a Traveling Nurse. Without him, by my side, I honestly would be lost. He is not just my papaw but my best friend. He has always been honest with me and always wanted what was best for me. Anytime I struggled to make a decision he would sit me down and we would go over the pros and cons that could come out of each option. His passion for traveling the world and seeing new things is what helped me make my decision on becoming a Traveling Nurse. This is because he took any chance he ever had to take me along on his adventures. I saw parts of the United States at such a young age and it helped me learn conversation skills as we would meet so many new and friendly people. The final thing is that he will lend a hand to anyone who ever needed it, sometimes they didn't even have to ask, and never judges anyone for something they couldn't control which taught me so much. This caused me to be so open minded and that there are so many people out there that we think we know but truly do not. I learned a lot from him and I purse to become half of the person he is.
