Before gaining employment at the hospital, I received my Certified EMT-B license from RC Health Services in 2021. Before then, I worked as a Registered Behavior Therapist for a few years at an ABA company. My passion has always been to help others and educate them. Being around nurses and doctors made me realize my love for wanting to health patients within the healthcare setting. I understand that this journey will require hard work. patience, and much dedication. I am willing to put all my effort into making sure to become the best RN that I can be and always remember the reason why I took on this journey. Being a single mother is my duty to show my child, that you are never too young or too old to go after dreams. I have to set an example for my child to never give up and give their all to accomplish the set goals they have for themselves. My ultimate goal is to be a Registered Nurse in the Postpartum unit at Memorial Hermann. One thing I love about being at Memorial Herman is the support they give. I have the support of management and coworkers and mandatory educational training to help me while on the journey to becoming an RN. I look forward to studying at Chamberlain University. With the impact of student loans, I have exhausted my limit and need help with paying to further my education. This scholarship will help me pay for this dream of mine of becoming a registered nurse.
