Bio

Yes, that's right folks, I am a 37-year-old who decided the degree I currently hold just wasn't cutting it for me anymore! So I boldly took the leap and went back to school to pursue a career in Psychology, in order to, learn how to properly and effectively help veterans and victims overcome struggles with PTSD. Being a full time caregiver for my father while simultaneously working full time to put myself through school has been the most challenging experience of my life; and it has also been the most rewarding. Never let anyone tell you its too late to follow your dreams or advocate for yourself. I believe Dr. Maya Angelou said it best... "Nothing will work, unless you do."

You Glow Differently When You're Happy Scholarship
The happiest moment of my life could be told in thousands of words, however, to describe the moment is easy - elation. I had just moved to Kauai and on my first run on the bike path by the ocean I stopped at mile 3 and turned makai to take in the most breathtaking hues of blue water I had ever seen. "You did it," I whispered aloud into trade-winds. I had followed my dream. And standing on that cliff's edge knowing I made it come true was the happiest, most fulfilling moment of my life thus far.
