Hello, my name is Cory! I am currently on track to becoming an Adolescent Educator. I hope to one day obtain a position in Educational Leadership. An enriching and welcoming school environment is salient to the growth of today's students, who will one day become future leaders. I wish to facilitate the fostering of such an environment through compassion, academic rigor, and empathy. Most importantly, I am ready to advocate for all students(committing myself to a high-needs low-income district/school). The dedicated teachers I had the privilege to encounter are one of the primary reasons for my intense drive and devotion to the field. School did not come easy for me; as first generation daughter to a single mother, living in a paycheck-to-paycheck household, I did not believe I could ever successfully thrive academically. If not for the support of the bold, brilliant, and supportive educators during my time in school, I would not have gotten my bachelor's degree (graduating as a salutatorian and being inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society) and begun my master's. I hope to live up to their legacies. Using the tools I will continue to obtain during my academic journey, I am excited and honored to dive into my future career and forever passion.
