I am an optimistic, passionate, and driven student studying veterinary medicine. As a first-generation college student, I am working toward a challenging goal! I currently attend the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine as a DVM Candidate, Class of 2028.
After earning my DVM, I plan to return to my home state of Maryland to practice. I am passionate about equine and mixed animal medicine, but I also hope to provide emergency care on a relief basis to help address the shortage of emergency veterinarians. As a future practitioner, I aim to prioritize high-quality patient care and thorough client communication. I believe that pet owners are an integral part of their pet’s care, so it is important to involve them in discussions and ensure they are able to provide informed consent for their pet’s treatment.
At school, I am a leader and peer tutor, holding multiple positions both within clubs and in my class leadership:
- Class of 2028: Historian
- VMCVM DVM Student Ambassador
- DVM Peer Tutor
- SC-AAEP Event Coordinator Chair
In addition to my leadership roles within clubs, I also serve as a student representative for several veterinary companies, acting as a liaison between the company and the student body. My goal as a representative is to provide veterinary students with resources, opportunities, and good food!
- IndeVets Student Representative (2024–2026)
- VETgirl Student Representative (2025–2027)
Outside of school, I have two horses and a dog named Jellybean. I have my own small photography business, Wag Worthy Photography.
