I am passionate about being outdoors and am happiest when I am working on my jeep. I enjoy meeting new people and expanding my social network. My goals are to be an engineering manager somewhere on the East Coast.
I am an easy going person who is easy to talk to and share interest with. I take every opportunity given to me and was just named "Emerging Leader of the Year" at my university

Lo Easton's “Wrong Answers Only” Scholarship
1. I deserve it because I am a college student. Nothing else needs to be said...
2. My academic goals are to barely scrape by and pass my classes. A nice bonus would be making it out of the retail sector.
3.When I see a problem I ignore it until someone else has to deal with it. If that is not possible I will curl up into a ball and pretend like my problems don't exist. This means I've never overcame any obstacles
Bold Technology Matters Scholarship
With the amount of plastic waste that we have polluting ecosystems and our oceans, I am exited about biodegradable plastic. While it is still in the testing phases, the prototypes have proved to be successful on the small scale. Making polymers from plants that allow them to break down in harsh conditions is how these scientist were able to make this happen and I am confident that once this hits the open market, it will completely change the amount of waste that is dumped every day.
The prototype in question was made in Mexico and used the prickly pear cactus to form a plastic wrap that breaks down after a week in water and 2 weeks in soil. It is also non toxic, so it is safe for human and animal consumption. This will help with the main problem that we face with plastic waste, animals getting sick because they consume plastic. When it is dumped into the water it is mistaken as food by birds and fish and is then introduced into the food chain. This plastic does not break down so it stays in the animals stomach, clogging its intestines and slowing poisoning whatever animal ate it.
Along with killing animals, this plastic waste also costs cities millions each year in cleanup cost. Due to plastics low weight, bags and plastic scrap area able to find their way into trees, fences, and pipes, causing cities to look dirty. along with that, this waste can clog storm drains and pipes causing cities to flood if left unchecked.
This is why I am most exited about bio degradable plastic, because it will save animal life, minimize city litter, and save some failing ecosystems that are riddled with plastic waste. This new prototype will be revolutionary because of the amounts of benefits its provides.
