The professional skills and challenging curriculum, accompanied by my creativity, attention to detail, and technological understanding, can lead to a rewarding digital arts profession and a lifetime of interesting challenges. Attending the University of Texas at Dallas Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication program, I will learn how to better collaborate with others, develop a decision-making process to systematically design media, and expand my artistic ability digitally. I have a high level of technological understanding, an analytical thought process, and an unlimited amount of determination to serve in the field of digital arts. My current high school curriculum has expanded my creativity, fostered a collaborative approach to working with others, and built my personal self-esteem. I believe my creativity in my fine arts classes, assisting the theater play production, and becoming a State finalist in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event are testimony I have the ability, desire, and determination to be successful at the University of Texas at Dallas. I believe my animated projects and digital accomplishments will include intriguing and creative ideas that inspire others. I plan to bring joy with my work. Some of the very best movies, presentations, and displays have been created by masters of digital imagery. Industrial concepts have quickly become reality when research and development in the past was so expensive, great ideas were forgotten or never implemented. I love actively problem solving and building things to help others. I truly hope my future involves creating, animating, and developing digital projects to bring about change and inspiration. For those who stereotype gamers, I would ask them to consider how the applications on their cellular devices were developed. Most people work for a living, I plan to live for my profession and enjoy every minute helping create astonishing, innovative, and impressive digital art. I am looking forward to attending an institution that enrolls introverted, creative students like myself. Many believe pursuing a degree in animation means making video games. Even though video games include digital art and animation, we see animation everywhere. I believe I am personally a perfect fit for this skillset. I am attention to detail oriented, artistically inclined, creative, and a critical thinker. I enjoy hard work and dedication to something good. I love to work with others that enjoy the same passion I do. Most importantly, I believe digital art and animation take my creativity to its limits and provide an enjoyable and rewarding career.

I believe my creativity in my fine arts classes, assisting the theater play production, and becoming a State finalist in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event are testimony I have the ability, desire, and determination to be successful at the University of Texas at Dallas. As a military family member, I have learned from my parents to work together, celebrate achievement often, build pride in ourselves, and take care of each other in every way. In ten years, I believe I will be a professional in the digital art industry, serving others in a creative and inspiration way, while earning a lucrative salary in a rewarding profession. I believe my animated projects and digital accomplishments will include intriguing and creative ideas that inspire others. I plan to bring joy with my work. Some of the very best movies, presentations, and displays have been created by masters of digital imagery. I love actively problem solving and building things to help others. I truly hope my future involves creating, animating, and developing digital projects to bring about change and inspiration. For those who stereotype gamers, I would ask them to consider how the applications on their cellular devices were developed. Considering how blockbuster movies have become so realistic, commercials can demonstrate product benefits and concepts with ease, and gaming is above and beyond anything we could imagine ten years ago… what is next? I believe I will be part of the next ten years of remarkable change using my unlimited imagination, endless creativity, and relentless determination. Technological development and globalization keep the digital arts field moving at a high rate of speed. I believe I can keep up and excel in this field providing new and exceptional ideas while doing the necessary work to maintain quality. What movie will my name be in the credits nobody reads? How will people view a game or application I may have participated in creating. Quietly, I will celebrate another accomplishment while eloquently remaining silent about my part in the project. Humbly, I will enjoy my profession, appreciating that I am doing something I love and look forward to doing every day! Most people work for a living, I plan to live for my profession and enjoy every minute helping create astonishing, innovative, and impressive digital art. I am looking forward to attending an institution that enrolls introverted, creative students like myself. Attending classes I am interested in, joining organizations, and living on campus are all new and exciting experiences for me. When I successfully graduate, I am sure I will have fond memories and possess the skills and expertise to become an awesome digital artist. The college relationships I will form will establish a foundational network to share ideas and collect words of wisdom in the future from my peers. Aside from living the college experience, I plan to gain as much professional knowledge and experience I possibly can to ensure I am marketable to be hired as a professional. Aside from my artistic ability, I truly believe my ability to develop relationships and establish rapport with others is paramount to my success. Finally, I would love to be successful enough to take on additional projects to benefit my community. Using my creativity to help my local church, a non-profit organization, or someone in need would be enjoyable.

      “The Office” Obsessed! Fan Scholarship
I believe I can resonate with Jim Halpert. My dry sense of humor and ability to play practical jokes on my closest friends is always a joy. The entire show is hilarious! I really hope the workplace is nowhere near the Office's standards. Michael Scott is a human resources nightmare, and the employees on the show are an array of drama above and beyond reality. However, I cannot help but wonder if people experience one or more of those personality types on the show! I do enjoy the different discussions, practical jokes, and elaborate story lines. Michael shows continuous insensitivity for his employees. The entire show is well written, progressively leads to periodic plots, and makes a lot of people laugh. In the future, I am pursuing a career in digital art, specifically animation. If I have the opportunity to inspire even a small percentage of people bringing joy to their lives through animations, I would be happy and content. The writers of the Office work every day developing funny topics of discussion and different comical twists in the episodes. I plan to do the same creating and designing digital art to genuinely make someone happy or proud of their project.

I believe creating and designing projects for commercial and industrial firms would be interesting and challenging. I have participated in several Boyd High School programs including supporting One Act Play doing lighting for their practices and performances, serving as a volunteer during annual Boyd Big Events, and I periodically volunteer to feed the homeless at Beautiful Feet Ministries in Fort Worth, Texas. Daily, I serve as an office aide in the Boyd High School main office supporting our school activities and the main office staff. I enjoy helping others and quickly jump at the opportunity to serve.

My father is a retired Army Veteran who served in the military for 23 years encompassing 9 deployments, including 3 combat tours overseas. He retired in 2013 and serves our community as an educator in a local school district. My mother has served as a dedicated military spouse and mother of four children for most of my life. She is our foundation, constantly being there through thick and thin, regardless of the situation. When our father was deployed, she assumed all of the responsibilities to run our home, keep us in line, and comfort us when we struggled in his absence. Our family is very close and we have been through a lot. My father’s return from multiple deployments made things difficult for our family. His readjustment made it difficult for everyone because he had to make a significant adjustment when he was honorably discharged. We are thankful for the countless sacrifices he made to serve our country and we are equally thankful for the counseling and adjustments he made for us. As I approach post-secondary education, I realize the support network and wealth of knowledge and experience I receive from my parents. They are supportive and encouraging while avoiding being judgmental. Although I have a humble demeanor, I would truly love to see my digital artwork enjoyed by others. I believe creating and designing projects for commercial and industrial firms would be interesting and challenging.

My father is a retired Army Veteran who served in the military for 23 years encompassing 9 deployments, including 3 combat tours. He retired in 2013 and serves our community as an educator now. He was a teacher, coach, assistant principal and finally settled into a nearby school district as a Director of Bus Transportation. Our family is very close, and we have been through a lot.
