Hello, my name is Collette, and I am a full-time student pursuing my Associate's Degree in Nursing as well as a full-time employee at my local hospital. My mom had emergency open-heart surgery when I was eighteen, and we spent months in the hospital. Being able to help people was something that I always had a passion for, but this put it into perspective for me. I realized my aspirations for pursuing a career in healthcare. Shortly after my mom made a full recovery, I went to school to get my CNA license and got a job at the same hospital we spent so many months in. I remember walking in on my first day, and all those memories flooded my mind again. I knew that day it was my turn to help the patients and make a difference in their day. After a year of working as a CNA, I decided to continue my education and enrolled in my nursing program. I am dedicated to promoting the best possible care for my future patients. I am grateful to be able to continue my educational journey and look forward to starting my career as a Registered Nurse.
