I am a second-year Computer Science major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I have a strong passion for software development and aspire to start my own tech company in the future. Problem-solving has always been at the core of what I love, whether it’s through coding, mathematics, or athletics.
In high school, I combined my love for problem-solving with leadership by volunteering as a math tutor and launching my own private tutoring business. My dedication to academics earned me the AP Computer Science Award, while my commitment to athletics saw me competing as a varsity cross-country runner for four years and earning all-league recognition in my district.
I am driven, hardworking, and eager to make an impact in the tech industry. A scholarship would help me continue my education and take steps toward achieving my long-term goals in software development and entrepreneurship.

Computer Science Goals
I have always been drawn to problem-solving, and computer science provides an endless opportunity to tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions. As a second-year Computer Science major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, I am dedicated to refining my technical skills and expanding my knowledge in software development. While in college, I aim to gain hands-on experience through internships, where I can apply what I’ve learned in a real-world setting, collaborate with professionals, and explore different areas of the field. These experiences will help me determine which aspects of computer science interest me the most while also preparing me for my long-term career.
After graduating, I plan to work for a company in software development, where I can continue learning and honing my expertise. Working in a structured environment will provide me with valuable insights into industry best practices, teamwork, and large-scale project management. However, my ultimate goal is to start my own company, where I can have more autonomy, creative freedom, and the ability to pursue projects that I am passionate about. I want to build a business that not only advances technology but also provides meaningful solutions that improve people's lives.
Non-Computer Science Goals
Outside of computer science, I have a strong entrepreneurial mindset. In high school, I started a private math tutoring business, which gave me firsthand experience in running a business, managing clients, and taking ownership of my work. This experience reinforced my desire to create something of my own, where I could directly impact others while also shaping the direction of my work.
I am also interested in developing technology that improves people’s daily lives. One of my current projects is a simple watch designed to help older individuals track their hydration. This project has allowed me to explore the intersection of technology and health, an area I find particularly meaningful. Additionally, my background as a competitive cross-country runner has taught me discipline, perseverance, and goal-setting—skills that apply not only to athletics but also to my academic and professional ambitions.
Combining These Goals
My long-term vision is to merge my computer science expertise with my entrepreneurial aspirations. By first gaining industry experience, I will develop the technical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills necessary to build a successful company. Whether through software, wearable technology, or another innovative solution, I want to create products that address real-world challenges and improve lives.
A scholarship would help me continue pursuing these goals by allowing me to focus on my education, gain valuable experiences, and ultimately work toward building a company that combines my passion for problem-solving with my desire to make a meaningful impact. With the right resources and opportunities, I am confident that I can contribute to the future of technology in a way that benefits individuals and society as a whole.
