FinalistBio
My name is Coi, and I'm a passionate, advocacy-driven student from Atlanta, Georgia. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first black woman to serve on the Supreme Court, inspired me to believe that I can make a difference in the world. I have a strong interest in government, history, and social justice, with a long-term dream of becoming a lawyer.
Growing up in a diverse environment, I learned to embrace what makes me unique. My journey from feeling excluded to becoming a confident leader has shaped my perspective and made me more resilient. I'm committed to using my education to advocate for marginalized backgrounds- inside and outside my community- and to pursue legal reform.
I've led numerous service projects, raised funds for philanthropic causes like childhood cancer research, and helped bring equity to underprivileged children in classrooms. My passion for civic engagement and service makes me a capable candidate, ready to make change. However, paying for college is extremely expensive so I am hoping for financial support to reach my goals.
