Hello! My name is Claudine Anderson, and I am Jamaican-American. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. I aspire to positively impact my community by empowering everyone through leadership, service, and my life experiences. In my current role as Coordinator of Technology Innovation, I help teachers and students integrate technology into their curriculum and classrooms. I am like many who came from an impoverished community and the odds of succeeding were very slim. The journey to pursue my goals has been arduous. However, I consider myself blessed to be able to use what life has thrown at me to help others. One of my passions as a youth pastor is to help abused teens with counseling and shelter by partnering with organizations such as Boys and Girls Club, New Family Destiny Family Success Center and Oasis Haven for Women and Children. I also created a group call TAIL (Touching and Impacting Lives). This group provides tutoring and charitable offerings for underprivileged children and their families. I have heard a lot of “No!” and “You will never accomplish that.!” Despite all the disappointments and obstacles my faith, perseverance, and passion along with the encouragement of others has given me the confidence and will power to continue. My long-term goal is to have the tools, skills, and resources necessary to continue to pursue these goals.
