That’s what we found when we joined the League of Dreams. The League of Dreams is a nonprofit that gives children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to play adaptive sports. At first, I thought it would just be another activity for my son. I never imagined it would become something that would involve our entire family. Today, my husband coaches, I volunteer as a team parent, my older son volunteers as an Angel helping athletes during games, and my youngest son gets to be an athlete.
