Bio

Since I was a child, I have wanted to be a singer. Watching performances on TV fueled my passion even more! That is why I chose to be a part of a music school that has performances weekly. This year I created a YouTube channel to post singing covers. I'm always working on a new project or idea. I cannot wait to dive into my skills during college. I have big dreams, and I know I have what it takes to achieve them.

I never expected to find the beauty in my own suffering. Sometimes it feels as if my eyes are clouded by fog and it's impossible for me to see the light of day. That's how I've felt for about four years. Back in 2016, I was diagnosed with two anxiety disorders and severe depression. It impacted my relationships with my family because I became withdrawn, passive-aggressive, and harmful to myself. I knew it hurt others around me who saw my suffering, but I didn't know how to tell them how I felt. One of my only outlets was music. I found artists like twenty-one pilots, Fall Out Boy, and Halsey. They wrote these poetic and powerful songs about their struggles with mental illness, and I found pieces of myself in those songs. They told the stories I couldn't and were anthems for living on. That was what inspired me to become a musician. I want to create music that other people who are struggling can look to when they feel alone. You see, I learned things about myself I would never have without my mental illnesses. I learned I am resilient, dedicated, and beautiful. Music was my aid to that journey, and I know it's what someone needs. I am going to inspire others to keep living and learning about themselves. I will teach others how to live with their mental illnesses instead of against them through music. By telling my story, I can inspire others to learn how to love themselves. For years, I allowed myself to succumb to the darkness of mental illness. I've lost friends and hurt myself in the process. I refuse to sit back and let others make the same mistake. The music I create will guide them on a journey to self-love, just as it did for me.
