Bio

My name is Anna Meeks, though I'd love to go by Connor Meeks. I'm a senior in high school, currently attending Cutter Morning Star Highschool. I love anything bright, pastel, and cute. Including Sanrio, San-x, and other cute visual companies. My dream is to become a Broadway actor, as musical theater has been a passion of mine ever since I was little. My aunt and uncle even own a local theater in my town named "The Pocket Community Theater," where I have played roles many times in the span of a few years. I hope to continue schooling even after high school, though my dream job does not acquire schooling, I want to get better. I want to take classes in order to better understand and improve myself in the topics that I'm so passionate about. I also love digital art, mainly using Ibisx-Paint for my illustrations. I love creating other worlds with imagination, creating characters that others can relate to and connect to. I love to play instruments as well, including ukulele, kalimba, and the piano. Playing music is calming, and really helps with nerves and settling down. I do enjoy choir and singing as well, in my Junior year, I got into the all-region choir in Arkansas and was eligible for the All-State choir. My cousin and I were the first in our school's history to be eligible for All-State. I hope to find many communities where I feel safe and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read.       Minecraft Forever Fan Scholarship
      Ever since I was a child, Minecraft has been a huge part of my life. Waking up in the morning, the first thought that raced through my mind was to hop on my old PlayStation 3. It was escapism for me as a child, able to bring myself into a world I could create under my fingertips and express my emotions through creativity. I loved the vanilla feel of Minecraft, the simple feel. Despite its simplicity, it had an impact on countless people. Even though the game had limited features back then, it still was able to touch the lives of thousands around the world. Including mine. Through my experiences with Minecraft, I was able to make friends that I still have today and build connections with others without having to be face-to-face with them. It was something that helped me as a child build relationships. It was made as not only creative escapism but a helpful social tool for me. My favorite aspect of the game is probably the creativity and endless possibilities the game gives you and the nostalgic feel to the game nowadays. The music composition brings you a sense of comfort and nostalgia. Making you remember all the times you would stay up on a Friday night, playing until you couldn't keep your eyes open any longer, drifting off to sleep to C418's music. These memories that I have not only show how much it mattered in my childhood, but how it resonates with me so deeply.
