Bio

Hi, My Name is Chryneshia and I will be studying Interior Design at Auburn University. I like drawing, painting, and crafting. With my crafting skill, I hope to transform people's points of view of art. Hopefully, all this will help me become a better Interior design, where I use my degree to create art. My lifetime goal is to become an interior designer, and empower people like me. As an African American, in an underfunded school having a big dream seem like too much, and having a higher education isn't an option. They're not many lawyers, doctors, or even an interior designer where I from that is a person of color. I hope to show that it doesn't matter where you come from, or have much money you can make, your dream come reality. You can do anything if you believe in yourself you can achieve anything you want in life no matter race or gender, belief etc.

Picture yourself just graduating from high school at the top of your class, happy as can be, got accepted into your dream school just so happy thinking that your problem will just disappear. Now imagine just three months into school everyday you wake up with this dull ache in chest, hair falling out, room a complete mess. It is to the point where even your own mother doesn't even recognize you anymore. College was my breaking point into realizing I had a problem and no amount of sleep, self reflection, jokes can could explain what I was going though I just couldn't seem to get out of bed that was me until I was finally diagnosed with clinical depression I was shock to say the least like finally something to prove I'm not crazy. I alway believe " that not me" type of person. I do not believe that could be me. I thought that I stayed on track and was happy . I never feel what it feels like to be depressed. I was proven wrong again. These experiences shape how I view relationships, life and me. I was severely bullied on many occasions during my primary and high school year these experiments meddled in my confidence then and now probably for the rest of my life. I incident I can recall is my when I played lady basketball for my high school we were warming up and I was coming up for rebound and I landed straight on my ankle the first thing I heard was a snap and crake sound, at first I was shock omg this can't be happening right now. You know what my teammates did within that situation they keep going on with practice nobody ask me if I was ok, nobody even help me off the court, I had to crawl off it, the was such a degrading experience for me til this day I'm still hurt by it. The bullying was so bad I dreaded going to practice literally counting the clock. My anxiety towards going to practice made me hate basketball the sport I truly loved is forever tarnished. Because of that situation I have trouble valuing my self worth and making healthy relationships with other, I assume that everyone is out to get me, and don't have my best interest, I am working on those problems but that situation still hurt when I think about it. Depression changes the way I view people. Going through all those trials and tribulations made me want to strive more to succeed in my career goals. My career aspirations are to go to college and to study interior design to create space to lower mental health problem. Where I will learn the true meaning of community and become the best interior designer I can be. My mental health in weird ways helped me be more empathetic to others. Help me realize that everybody is facing something. This experience in a relationship helped me understand that everybody needs time to know themselves. Having been through mental issues myself made me more understanding of others experiencing a mental health issue. This scholarship will help me deal with my mental health in a better manner. This scholarship will put less stress on my family about my mental health as well.I hope to achieve peace and closure in my life. I hope to succeed in my major because I have experienced mental health, and how draining it can be. This experience made me strong and more reliant on myself moving forward in life.

Depression changes the way I view people. Not everyone has your best interest in life, and that not ok. Going through all those trail and tribulation made want to strive more to succeed my career goals. My career aspirations are to go to college and to study interior design to create space to lower mental health problem. I hope to achieve moving forward is peace and closure in my life. I hope to succeed in major because I have experienced mental health, and I know how draining it can be this experience made me strong and more reliant on myself moving forward in life. Having dealt with mental health forces me to reconcile with myself that thing will get tough. the pass is in the pass it's time to heal. My career aspiration is to get a master in interior design to career meaningful space the lift people mood and health creating a more healthy environment for people with mental health. Experiencing mental health myself inspired me to be more socially aware of other people's emotions. My career aspirations are to be healthy. To hopefully learn how to incorporate my personal lesson in my daily life and improve them when needed. In college everything is mass produce with money in mind instead of how the student may feel in the space, how they move around it, how we may want the space too look like. My goal in the future to design space that incorporate what people may feel going into space and feeling better coming out than when they first arrived. If I could go back a speak to 7 year old me I would first tell her I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I wasn't the women she aspected me to be, not the goofy chubby tall little girl with big hope and dream and would hug her so tightly in my arms and tell me that I am beautiful and I deserved to have good thing life and Im worth it not matter what people would say. I would tell myself to be patience and be more kind gentle with our emotion because we too can bring ourself down. My mental health made have cause me to face many hill in my life but it made more stronger and more goal orientated to handle anything that come my way. If younger me could see me now she would proud knowing that I'm walking in the right direction to a brighter future.

As a child of a single mother, my day-to-day life was nothing but the best. My mother is loving, caring, and patient. My mother has taught me right from wrong and was always there for me. She never complains that she is tired or when she is sick. She was strong and tough when she needed to be and nurturing as well. living without my father in my life did create some person burden growing up and my life finically harder we couldn't live in stable place and we moved from place to place a lot but if I had the chance to change for anything in the world. Being raised by a single mother taught me that family is most important. A mother's love will always be enough. My mother taught me to be more independent with myself and to be more confident within myself. My mother inspires me to do better and pursue my dreams. I know that with the help of my mother, I will succeed in what I do in life. My future will be ok with the lesson and advice my mother has given. I'll do just fine. Of course, a relationship between a mother and daughter isn't always going to be perfect. We have our ups and downs, but we always make up. My mother did her best when raising me. She gave me everything I needed. I am grateful to have my mother in my life to help guide me when I need it. What inspires me the most about my mom is how persevere in life fight and beating cancer rising 4 children by her self. She works hard to give us a better life than she had as a child. she'll give the clothes off you back if you needed give you her whole plate your hungry because she knew what it's like to go hungry, to not know when you next meal will come from, but still my mother carry on. my mother has dream and goals in life but having children slowed the process of going back to college, but now that all her children are young adults the drive to finish her dream Is back and that truly inspire me to keep going in college, because if my mother can do it I know I can. My mother raised me the best she can. Personally, I think without my mother, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I wouldn't have been the salutatorian of my class, And I wouldn't be the first in my family to go to college. My dreams are to go to college. To become an Interior designer and have a bachelor's interior design. I see myself in a successful career as a professional architect. 3Wishes Women’s Empowerment Scholarship
Society has always has treated women as less than by race, class, beauty, and sexual orientation. As a woman, it feels like we have to battle among ourselves to gain more in life. It, like a never-ending cycle of competition in an inevitable comparison of who better. As a person of color, it's like a double-edged sword. For one thing, I'm a woman. Two, I am a person of color. These things shouldn't be factors that hinder me. But as a woman of color, it does play a major; role in my life. I have to compete with women in general, but with women that look likes me as well. It like women of color can't have a place to be great without being compared or changing ourselves to grow in society. As a person of color, we face a seamless comparison to each other. I feel Like there can only be a handful of successful women of color in a workforce. This; hurts me because we all deserve a seat at the table. It unfair that we have to fight to be successful and what more in life. Society can most effectively empower women by first respect us. Firstly by paying us equal wages. Women have families to support and feed. Why do we have to choose between a career or families? As a woman that will be working in a male-dominated environment after I graduate from college. I shouldn't have to feel like second class just because of men and my career choices. I should not have to feel as though I being underpaid because of my gender and my race. Society can most effectively empower women by pay equally no matter race, gender, or social status. Empowering women do not mean giving us compliments. It is about respects, respects us as women and as human beings. A low pay low because of my gender is a problem in today's society. If you are a person of color, you are paid even less than others, just because of your race. Society; can most effectively empower women by paying women equally in wages. So we as women don't have to choose over a family or a career we should have the option to have both. Supporting women-owned and run businesses will benefit society and can most effectively empower women. Support women-run businesses; will build power for women and help more women in the business industries. Supporting women will help them gain footing in social status. Empowering women in business will show that gender shouldn't matter when support someone. Empowering women in careers will show that the old patriarchal idea was wrong and outdated. Hindering women from success was also hindering the next generations. Supporting women-owned businesses will help this generation and women of color succeed and empower them to achieve their dream. Empowering women means respects to us women and empowering us in our dreams and goals. Society will benefit from this by leading us to a brighter, more equal future that respects women and empowers us to our full pointental.

As a gen z smartphone, my foundation, my therapy been my everything. The older generation says that gen z is too dependent on their phone. But the truth is our phone is our escaped from reality. From school, family problems, and especially during quarantine. I felt so alone and, it made me feel isolated and empty because we could not be around my family and friends. But, smartphones also help me stay connected to my family. My experience has been that of a connection. My phone has reminded me to stay focus and active on my daily tasks and goal. My experience has been dependent on my phone because it is a diary of emotion and that I only understand. My therapists and friends when I need it. My phone or when I do not have my family around to calm my mind. My smartphone helps me multitask to complete very I have to do in school as well. Day-to-Day activities with my help complete tasks quickly as possible. My experience with smartphones helps keeps me motivated. My smartphone helps with my daily tasks of managing my school life and personal life. Smartphones impacted the way I think. My day-to-day activities include being more active to be more healthy. My phone keeps track of my step and how many calories I burned. My smartphone also reminds me of important events. I need to attend and what time I should be there. My daily activity is to stay focus to achieve every goal I have. If I did not have my smartphone, I wouldn't have achieved as much. Good grades and keeping up with my extracurricular activities. Without my phone, I wouldn't have achieved as much in school. It impacts me while I'm behind the wheel because one distraction could end my life or the life of others. I could ruin my life just before it even started. It impacts me behind the wheel because it takes a certain amount of integrity and disciplines everything I do. I put my phone away and on silent so it would not disturb me when driving. Impacts me behind the wheel because this generation is getting into life-threatening incidents because of their phone. I don't want to be that statistic. Behind the wheel impacts my life because I am responsible for myself and others. My favorite artist has to be Jean-Michel Basquiat his passion was creating art. Not being told what art has to be. He made his own rules, though he was not traditional in the slightest Jean-Michel Basquiat made he owns, "Mona Lisa," that inspire people to create their interpretation of art no matter what critics say. Jean-Michel Basquiat made his own rules. When it came to art, a passion in his life; was being an artist. He inspired many other artists to express themselves. Jean-Michel Basquiat can be label as one of the greatest to ever lived. I consider Jean-Michel Basquiat my favorite artist because he had the talent not only. To inspire the next generation to be creative. To seek your passion without remorse to follow your dreams, Jean-Michel Basquiat is my favorite artist because his art didn't fit the norm of what art suppose to be.

You either have the option of unflattering clothes, black or grandma-looking clothes. As a plus-size girl. I want regular size clothes, but just in a bigger size for us. Another reason is that I'm tall. As a tall woman, it like you have to pick a struggle. You either have to be plus-size, short or skinny, tall. It sad that big companies don't realize women can be tall; be plus size. I don't want high water pants and black clothes because that what society wants. With my design, I am sure I could go far. To prove any size can be fashionable no matter the size. I hope to achieve many things in design. To broaden my craft as a designer and because I know that plus girls don't want ugly fashions. I want something young and fresh where anybody of everybody can wear. Tall, short, big shouldn't matter. The piece of clothing you make should fit property without being too shorts or unflattering to the women. Women deserved to feel beautiful in their clothes they buy. Entrepreneurship is a tough job to handle. Of course, I have seen myself. I know design can be challenging from the sleepless night creative and inspire. I know with everything such a social media, networking, and a multitude of the reason. It would still be hard for a young designer to strive. But with patience and just the right time, it will grow. I plan to achieve many things in the field of design. First, my degree, work for a big company. Then get my business degree and build my design firm full of diversity of people. I hope to achieve mentors that could lead to a journey that would lead me to become better and achieve more. I plan on achieving my dream by getting a second education in design and architecture. I'm preparing by applying for scholarships to put less burden on my family and myself as well. With this scholarship, I can achieve my dreams with less worry and second guesses. With this scholarship, I could strive for my dream of becoming a designer. Accomplish them with success because of these scholarships. LGBTQIA Arts and Personal Development Scholarship
The vision I have is to speak with the people to tell a story. My biggest artistic ambition is career art that inspires the world. Middle school was a time in my life when music played a meaningful role in my life. Middle school is a weird time in my life where I'm not necessarily a baby nor a teen. During school, the middle school band was adding new students. So I joined, and I played the clarinet. Music is my therapy. Sometimes I would hear music but not listen, but when I listen news thing appears. That what makes music unique. I'm passionate about music because it was all I have at the time. Music made me appreciative and happy with very emotions, time. I love music so much love watching musicals, plays, or anything that have music. Music to me now is still the same but more in-depth. I want to play more music and learn. In the summer, I'm learning how to play the ukelele and maybe the piano. Hopefully, soon, I will learn to play more music and make songs that inspire the next generation. My current project is sculptures that I created called the "Goddesses of sister." I have done many paintings and drawing in my life, but sculptures are a new ball game for me, but the "goddess of sister" suppose to represent sisterly love, bonds of womanly love, and the image women represent. Many more of my current project is to represent meaningful things about womanhood and life. My art isn't always about one thing. I want my art to reach my people of any gender, race, etc. Art isn't just one thing art can be anything you want it to be. It could be creating music, drawing, sculpting, or it can be all those things in one. Anything can be art, and everyone can do it art. My current art is to present women of color in our daily lives in a positive manner. To represent us in an environment that is of higher value. I want my current art to show people of color the right instead of the negative way. I do art because it the only thing that helps me be me to express my emotions. Art frees my mind from school and daily life. Creating art lets my imagination and creativity free, without having to explain myself. Art motives me to do better in life. It inspires me to live every day without regret. It helped me when I was depressed. I, when I was feeling down creating art, was there. Creating art will help me be successful in any work environment I choose in life. Creating art will help me achieve my goals and establish a source of security. While going to college and managing my goal and obtain my goals. Creating art will have mine in life, school, my career anything else I do in the future. Mental health has always been a battle of mines. Because art helps me be in a better light, depression, body dysmorphia is not always sunshine and rainbow. To make matters worst, I was a chubby kid. Which meant I didn't have many friends and was picked on a lot growing up, but 5th grade was when I discovered art and brought so much joy during those sad days. My personal development has been a long journey full of ups and downs, but I made and so happy I'm still doing what I love. My career aspirations are to be healthy. Sander Jennings Spread the Love Scholarship
"If you don't know how to love yourself, who will" Is, a famous phrase use by everyone when expressing or talking about self-love. But think it more to that than to love yourself to love another. Love is a strong word is used to express your inner emotion out publicly. In this generation, social media plays a big reason why people don't know how to love themselves, myself included, at the time. My journey to self-love has been rough didn't help that I was a target for bullying. That experience causes me to have body dysmorphia for years. I couldn't bear to look myself in the mirror. If you would've asked me if I love myself, I would have told you no without remorse. As a child, my thought of self-love equal to beauty. If you didn't meet the beauty standard at that time, you were considered ugly. As a child that African American, I didn't see myself as pretty. People didn't see me as the standard. So that means the POC face multitude of hurdles before finally seeing themselves as beautiful including, myself. I know now that self-love comes from the mind and heart. If I have one of you can't say you truly love yourself because you off balance. I can't love myself if my heart and mind don't believe I'm loved. My journey to self-love was rough, but now as a young woman going to college. I can say I do love myself. It takes time and patience to love yourself, but it's pay off in the end. The journey toward self-love has been an experience, to say to least. Self- love journey impacted my belief because self-love takes time because you have to deal with social media, people, family members, and most importantly yourself. My acceptance of self-love belief is that self-love will be one of the most challenging things someone can experience. People will do and say anything to make you like you less than others because they don't love themselves. As the saying "misery love company." the company of their misery feeding off you because you let their words, energy affect you. A relationship is much more different. Relationships are a different story because you are love someone else. To love someone instead of yourself is a different story. You'll be dealing with two minds and hearts that need care. Loving someone else makes people in a relationship valuable but also vulnerable as well. Self-love impacted the I think and do a thing because I also want to achieve my goal without losing myself. To love everything I do while still being myself and still have the same confidence and self-love to do and achieve my goal while still have the same or even more self-love.

Salutation. Beta club, mu alpha-theta, and a student-athlete are some of the things that could describe me. I am the first generation in my family to go to college. Have two Microsoft certifications. My next plan is to pursue a career in architecture. Unfortunately, my life hasn't always been good to me. Mental health has always been a battle of mines. Depression, body dysmorphia is not always sunshine and rainbow. I felt so alone and ashamed that I felt this way at such a young age. It was always wasn't the case 5th grade wasn't the best time for me. At age 10, my ance was horrible. To make matters worst, I was a chubby kid. Adults will let you suffer than help just because they favor a child that is "normal" and treated poorly. Adult ignores you and lets children hurt other children. Neglecting children creates more children at an early age to have mental health. Later, creating a never-ending cycle of mental health and mental health in young children as well. That why this scholarship will help me focus more on what's important, focusing more on my mental health. As a child, you would think kids are angels and innocent. But the truth is kids are mean. From middle school into high school, I was bullied, picked on for not fitting in. Those times were rough. I was depressed. At 11 years old, I had an eating disorder to become "pretty" like the other girls. Having ance and being a bigger kid is one thing but hating yourself and being depressed is another. Nobody should like I did. Today as a senior in high school battling body dysmorphia, depression every day is like a roller coaster. Some days are good others, not so much, but in the end, I try to make every day the best I can. Depression changes the way I view people. Not everyone has your best interest in life, and that ok. Going through all those trail and tribulation made want to strive more to succeed my career goals. Mental health experience in weird ways helped me be more empathic to others. Help me realize that everybody is facing personal demons. This experience in a relationship helped me understand that everybody needs time to know themselves. The experience made me a better person. Having been through mental issues myself made me more understanding of others' experiences with mental health issues. The adversities that I experience change the way I live my life for the better. Without these important life lessons, I wouldn't be the same person that achieves all that I have so far because of it. Having dealt with mental health forces me to reconcile with myself that thing will get tough. A dark time in my past was dealing with depression and body dysmorphia made where I can't bear to look at myself in the mirror. Mental health changes my belief in human individuality. Experiencing mental health inspired me to be more socially aware of people's emotions. My career aspirations are to be healthy. If money wasn't a problem, I will be living my life to the fullest with remorse or second guesses. I would do the thing I'm scared of because I don't have any money to spare. I would eat more variety of food because I have the money to eat. But just because I don't have money issues, I would still be money conscious. I would be more generous because I have it. I would help people that are in need. Being selfish isn't an option when you have the money to help people. I would help people. Around the world, especially since the pandemic happens. If I had the money, I could worry less about how much student loan debt I'll be in because I want to get a second education. My parent could live a better life, and my mother can get her cancer treatment on time. If money wasn't, an issue would take a gap year. It takes some time for me. To figure out what I want to do in life. I would take the time to learn and master new skills as well. This scholarship would help to go to school without having an option to drop out because it's too expensive. If I had the money, and time I would learn to be myself. To help my family and others and to go to college.

    Make Me Laugh Meme Scholarship
This meme means something to me because explain something funny to parent is like talking to a brick wall. They will ask questions that have nothing to do with the meme. Explaining the meme will end badly because My parent will be more confused. I will be more frustrated trying to explain the meme. The meme will lead in two directions. One, the meme will lead to more questions which will make me question why I even show the meme to her in the first place. Two will lead to an unnecessary lecture. It's a loss showing your mother a meme you think is funny because they aren't going to see the meme as funny. This meme shows how different generations have a different sense of humor. What was funny to them wouldn't be funny to me, and the same goes for my mom. It just takes away the sense of humor of the meme when they don't catch on, and you have to explain to them why the meme was funny. This meme shows that my mom doesn't find the meme I show funny. Which always leads to the meme running flat.

    Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship
My career aspirations are to go to college. Where I will learn the true meaning of community and become the best architect I can be. My mental health experience in weird ways helped me be more empathic to others. Help me realize that everybody is facing something. This experience in a relationship helped me understand that everybody needs time to know themselves. The experience made me a better person. Having been through mental issues myself made me more understanding of others experiencing a mental health issue. This scholarship will help me deal with my mental health in a better manner. This scholarship will put less burned on my family about my mental health as well. Mental health made me a better person and more likely to help others that are in need. To hopefully learn how to incorporate my lesson in my daily life and improve them when needed.

    Better Food, Better World Scholarship
In today's world, many materials are in high demand. Naturally grown food, and our environment is one of them. In a rural town their not many stores to choose from, but are many fast-food restaurants. In a food desert, there are not many foods being naturally grown. I am passionate about this topic because many people in this world do not have food to eat mainly healthy food to eat and since people are starting to eat unhealthy foods instead of healthy ones it greater problems instead of fixing them in general. Food being grown even in a rural town full of good soil to grow natural food all year round. So this summer my mother and I decided to make a small garden. so our family can eat better started with fruits by next year my mom will start producing vegetable. For the environment, we help by carpooling and not driving as much. my family helps the environment by recycling and reusing plastic in many ways. For Example, we use a glass jar as cups or an organizer. Also, use containers for food. We don't use plastic bags when grocery shopping. Not leaving the water on for too long. And using plastic bag as another thing such as shower cap, small trash bag, and shoe cover when raining. A lot of my close family members have health problems. Natural food can help with their health. Such as eating more fruit and vegetables instead of fast-food restaurants. Eating more vegetables and fruits can help them be more healthy, less in hospital, and less sick. Natural foods that my family grow can help more people feed their family. And to help my their body strong with more energy and I learn new ways to help the environment from blogs and do plenty of research of my own to make I help the environment instead of hurt the environment. For natural food, I learn from my grandparents and great-grandmother how to garden and take care of plants. In the near future hopefully, I will found more innovative ways to help the earth and to produce more natural food for everybody to enjoy. I am passionate about the earth and natural food because we need food to live and we need earth to thrive if we don't have both we unbalance and we need both to be balanced food and earth go and in hand to keep us living if don't have one or the other we can't live. So if we take and help the earth and with natural foods the world will truly be a happy place.

After I choose either commercial meaning big building such as hospital, apartments, and skyscraper or resident meaning houses, small building, or even billboards. An adversity problem that has face it being in a rural underfund school that is Moriarty black students. The majority of the kids that come from my school are of the working class myself included. The adults and teachers feel like we can't handle college because we are not smart enough, so to prove them wrong, I study hard to get good grades made to get into one of my dream colleges and salutatorian of my class.
