I'm writing about how I'm overcoming smoking and using weed. An experience I have made into a lifestyle. Something I've been used to since 2018. People saw me changing and I did too but I told myself I was fine, just keep smoking. This has only brought me anxiety and loss of relationships and friends. Weed has made me shame myself and it had me thinking I needed it to do basic tasks like eating or going out with friends. I never knew it would get me to the point last year when I started acting like an addict, spending more time looking and searching for weed than eating, sleeping, and doing classwork. Then once I finally get the weed and use it, it's an overplayed record that only brings me dizziness and confusion, don't want to interact with people I love and enjoy. To make things worse I'm an athlete and a very good athlete so in high school smoking didn't affect me as much because I relied on talent. Now that I am in college everyone is talented, everyone works hard, and everyone has a why. Determination beats out talent every day of the week and you can't decide one day oh I'm going hard today and then the next go roll up. My grades weren't up to par and mentally I was tired. Tired of not being Christopher McCorkle and just a person who wants the title of being in college, the title of saying "Oh yeah I play college football." I knew I was letting my family down, little kids who came to my games in high school looked up to me and most importantly Jesus Christ. He blessed me with not only this opportunity but a talent to accomplish something great in life and here I am throwing it away and will soon be one of those uncles who tell their nephews what they could've been if they would've stopped. I don't want that for my family or my future. Am I going to tell my kids not to smoke or your life will be ruined or will they already see that in me? But God. I am trusting in him to remove that spirit of weed out of my soul. I know it's tuff and I know it'll be hard but God. " You don't have to start to be great, you have to be great to start. I know the work is already done I just need to keep my faith and stay in his word. The future me is depending on me today to keep the promises I made to myself yesterday. Thank you for your time.

My commitment to community service has been a defining characteristic of my life and I am passionate about assisting those in need in my community. From an early age, I have had a strong desire to make the world around me better and help others who are less fortunate than myself. As such, volunteering with local charities or organizations that serve those struggling within our society has become an integral part of how I choose to spend my time. Growing up, I was exposed to a wide range of social issues that have shaped the way I view and interact with the world around me. As a result, I am passionate about helping others and being an active member of my community. This has led me to become involved with various volunteer organizations throughout high school, where I have been able to make meaningful contributions by providing assistance such as tutoring at-risk youth or organizing food drives for families living below poverty levels. Furthermore, this experience has taught me invaluable lessons on how small acts can truly make a difference in someone's life – something that will stay with me forever. I believe it is important for everyone to be involved in their communities and contribute what they can as citizens; however, since discovering this passion for helping others at such a young age, it became even more meaningful for me personally. My experiences volunteering have taught me invaluable lessons about giving back without expecting anything in return which further inspired me on this journey toward making positive change wherever possible. Finally receiving this scholarship would be incredible honor since there are so many other deserving candidates who share the same desire to help out their respective communities just like myself; however, having a chance to show the committee why should receive the award over them means even more than money itself because it validates hard work put forth during past years working closely alongside non-profit organizations across the country doing whatever necessary ensure everyone gets a fair shot to succeed no matter circumstances faced growing up! In addition to dedicating countless hours towards various causes over the years from food drives during the holidays season or participating in clean-up days throughout our city parks - one experience stands out above all else: tutoring children at our local library every Saturday afternoon throughout high school was by far the most rewarding experience thus far! Seeing these kids gain confidence with each lesson we went through together made every minute worth it! For this reason alone (among many), earning your scholarship would mean so much more than just financial assistance-it would represent validation that someone believes enough in what I do & why I do it-and will provide additional resources necessary to continue doing so while pursuing higher education goals. Thank you for considering awarding me your scholarship!

I am pleased to be writing this essay in response to the scholarship opportunity for creative high school seniors. I have always been passionate about finding innovative solutions and creating things, so this is a great opportunity that resonates with me. One example of something I want to create is an app that helps people organize their daily tasks more efficiently. As someone who struggles with time management, it was important for me to develop something that could help others stay on top of their day-to-day activities as well as provide them with reminders and notifications when necessary. The main objective behind designing this type of system would be providing users easy access to all these features without having multiple applications open at once - making managing one's everyday life easier than ever before! Additionally, there is some advanced analytics incorporated within the design which will allow individuals to track progress towards goals over time while being able to identify any potential roadblocks they may encounter along the way – ultimately helping them reach whatever objectives they have set out to accomplish more quickly & effectively than before! If given access to resources necessary for solving another problem in today’s world, such as lack of education or poverty within certain communities or countries around the world; my plan would be multifaceted but ultimately focused on providing sustainable opportunities through education-based initiatives that are tailored towards specific needs within those communities/countries. To achieve these goals effectively, I would first research current programs already established by non-profits or governments then determine what areas could benefit from additional support. Next, I would create partnerships between local organizations that can provide mentorship services along with educational resources needed by students at all levels (primary through university). Finally, I will work closely with local leaders so they can advocate for increased government funding when available while also identifying private donors who may be interested in contributing funds towards our efforts. Overall, my goal is not just about providing immediate assistance but rather fostering long-term development opportunities which will enable people living within those affected regions to gain valuable skillsets so they can improve their lives both now and into future generations ahead... By doing so we hope it will help reduce poverty rates while also increasing access to higher-level learning experiences which should bring forth new innovative ideas capable of tackling tomorrow’s challenges more efficiently than ever before!

As a leader, I am always looking for ways to improve myself and the world around me. My leadership skills have enabled me to take on challenges with confidence and work collaboratively toward successful outcomes. I strive to be an example of excellence in my endeavors, which has helped me achieve many of my goals thus far. My friendly nature allows me to build strong relationships with those around me, whether they are peers or superiors. This trait helps create trust between us as well as provide support when needed; it also enables effective communication that can lead us all in the right direction together. Additionally, being loyal is essential for any relationship because it shows dedication and commitment while also allowing others to know that they can rely on you no matter what happens next. Lastly, honesty is something that should never be taken lightly since one wrong move could cause significant damage both personally and professionally; this attribute ensures transparency so everyone involved knows exactly where we stand at all times without having doubts about each other’s intentions or motives behind our actions. Furthermore, openness-mindedness encourages creativity which leads us closer towards our objectives faster than if we were closed off from new ideas altogether – this helps ensure success not only now but into the future too! As a high school senior, I have had the opportunity to observe and interact with younger generations. They need guidance and support as they navigate through their teenage years. As such, I plan to encourage them by being an example of true self-expression and authenticity. I will do this by leading by example when it comes to being true to myself no matter what others think or say about me. This means expressing my opinions without fear or hesitation, wearing clothes that make me feel comfortable regardless of trends, and having confidence in who I am even if it’s not popular opinion - these are all things that demonstrate how important it is for young people today to be their authentic selves despite external pressures from society or peers. By doing so, I can show them how much better life can be when you stay true to yourself instead of conforming for the sake of fitting in. One last thing would strive to set good examples for future leaders our generation teaches kids values to respect responsibility integrity develop strong moral character early age and ensure to have a great foundation built upon later in life. Through a combination of initiatives mentioned above hope to inspire the next generation to take charge of their lives and become successful individuals whatever endeavors may choose to embark upon. Overall these attributes help shape who I am today: someone who strives for greatness while giving back whenever possible by helping others reach their own goals through collaboration rather than competition alone; ultimately making sure everyone benefits from successes achieved along the way!
      Sports Lover Scholarship
Sports and athletics have played a significant role in my life since I was young. Participating in various sports activities has helped me to develop important skills such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Moreover, it has also enabled me to build strong relationships with my teammates which is something that I value deeply. Athletics can be a powerful tool for making positive changes in one’s community. Athletics provide an opportunity to create meaningful connections with others and foster a sense of pride and belonging within the local area. Through athletics, individuals can learn important values such as teamwork, hard work, perseverance, respect for others, and dedication which can all contribute to creating a better society overall. I am pursuing a degree in an athletics-related field because of the immense passion for sports that I possess. It gives me great pleasure to be able to contribute towards the betterment of athletes by helping them reach their goals through proper guidance and training from someone who understands their needs well enough from personal experience. Additionally, it allows me the opportunity to learn more about different aspects related to sports such as nutrition plans or injury prevention techniques which can help enhance performance levels significantly if applied correctly. One way I could use athletics to help my community is by organizing sports teams or clubs that focus on teaching youth these values while also providing them with physical activity opportunities that they may not have access to otherwise. These activities would give kids something productive and enjoyable outside of school hours while also helping them develop their skills both physically and mentally in areas like leadership development or communication strategies. Additionally, it would allow me the chance to mentor young people who need guidance, support, and friendship during their formative years. Participating in sporting events at the local level is another great way I could use athletics for good by showing solidarity with other members of my community through friendly competition. Participating in tournaments or charity games helps bring people together from different backgrounds regardless of age race gender etc... It allows us all to come together under one common goal: having fun! By doing this we demonstrate our commitment to building strong relationships with each other which will ultimately lead us closer to achieving our collective goals as citizens living within our respective communities. In conclusion, sports/athletics have been an integral part of my life ever since childhood due to their ability to help shape character traits like discipline while also allowing one to form meaningful bonds with others. This is why I chose to pursue a degree related to this field so that I could use all these experiences along with knowledge gained during studies to pass on valuable lessons learned over time to those seeking assistance within this domain
