My career objectives are somewhat laid out ahead of me. My boss and I are currently the only two working right now. It’s a small business. The first objective is to slowly grow the business to 1-2 crews. Then a few years from now my boss said I’m to inherit the business, therefore everything I do now to grow it will go to me in the end. So the big career objective is to run my own business. The goal of the business is to help people in dire situations. I grew up low-income with substantial help from others, and the government. The goal is to help young men like me that are trying to get ahead in life. I’m connected to a local church and there are a few people there looking for careers, not just jobs. My goal is to be able to teach and provide stable careers for the less fortunate. I’d like to bless others as I am blessed. One young man from the church is due to get out of incarceration within the next 2-3 years, so I would like to be able to bless him with a job. My personal financial need are stressful, but I know everything will turn around. My wife just arrived in America in October 2025. We are currently waiting for her green card so she is unable to work. I’m taking care of us and all our bills. We are going to have a child by the beginning of next year so it’s crunch time to get our money in order. Outside of bills and basic necessities, I have about 30,000 dollars of debt from past college, taxes, and credit cards/medical. I recently had medical problems with my feet that I had to get fixed. There’s a lot of financial need, but I’m not complaining. As the business grows, the debt will lessen. Especially after obtaining my hvac certifications, my income will at least double maybe even triple.

My interest in trades is directly connected to who I am as a person. I’ve spent my whole life working construction/carpentry with my father. Because of where I am now, I would like to take everything to the next level. I am a family man, and a man with purpose. Firstly, my family comes before anything. My wife just arrived in America last October. Soon, we’ll be having our first child. As a family man, I need to do my best to provide. I want to give my wife the life she dreams of. Hvac is great for my family because it puts me in a position not only to provide, but provide stability. Also, if my family tries to move, I can find work anywhere. Secondly, I’m a firm believer in purpose. I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, and that means my life has greater purpose than to just “succeed”. My purpose is to please Him, take care of my family, and be a blessing to others. I have a lot of skills, like carpentry, roofing, decking, painting, sheetrock, etc. I’d like to add HVAC to my skillset to better help my community. My family didn’t come from much money, and I know what it’s like to struggle. As my life increases in quality, then it’s not just for me. It’s to be a blessing to others. My wife came from a hard life overseas, and I grew up in a poor area. We know money only solves temporary problems, but there are better ways to impact someone's life. My goals for my future career are to one day inherit my family’s business and provide people with an opportunity to change their life. The majority of people I grew up with do not have many chances to change because of their mistakes. I deeply thought about how I could help people because of how God has changed my life. I realised, yes money could help their immediate situation, but it wouldn’t change their life. I told my wife that I want to provide people with jobs. The end goal is to affect my community/country, but I first have to affect the people around me. So after I finish the HVAC certification, the goal is to start helping people at my church. There’s a few people at my church that we’ve already given jobs to, but it has not been enough to provide for all their needs. When we start doing HVAC work, it will not only increase business revenue, but it will increase their pay. I have to have the knowledge myself in order to give it to others. There’s a young man that was a part of our church for a year, but he made some poor decisions and ended up incarcerated for an extended period of time. He gets out in about 2-3 years, and I would like to be able to offer him a job. I would also like to be able to donate work for people that can’t afford it. The majority of businesses are focused on making a killing. I just want to make a living. I believe it’s better to do right by people than to take their money to the point they can’t take care of themselves. The big purpose is blessing others as I have been blessed.

Why would I choose HVAC as my career? I chose HVAC because I became a husband, and what I experienced from a Philippines mission trip. When I turned 20, the year 2023, I met my soon to be wife in the Philippines. After meeting her everything changed for me. I needed tax history to get her to America, a stable job to provide for her, and become a quality husband/partner. My desires shifted from just living life as a young man to embracing the responsibility of a husband as a provider, caregiver, and leader. During this time,in 2023, my father started his own business. This was perfect timing for me because I needed a steady paycheck for two years to show the government. It was just us and hard work. After diligently working with my dad doing carpentry jobs, roofing jobs, flooring jobs, and rehabbing apartments for the last two years, I asked myself, what do I bring to the business? It’s November 2025 and my wife is now in the states. I have plenty of bills, and plans to start my own family. I need to be able to provide for us no matter what. I relied on my father and his knowledge. I’m just a helper. All these thoughts were going through my mind. So January 1st, 2026, I started praying about who I am, my purpose, my career. After two months of praying, I had this new strong desire to pursue HVAC. HVAC will offer stability for my family. Whether I’m working for myself, or someone else, I can go anywhere and find work. That’s my goal as a husband, and soon to be father, is provide and offer stability. My other reason for choosing HVAC is also connected to where I see it taking me in the future. While I was in the Philippines there were plenty of people that needed basic necessities like housing, running water, electricity, air conditioning. Missions will soften anyone’s heart. Seeing children struggle and families do anything for their next meal. I didn’t have all the tools before, but I plan to have them going forward. To see extreme poverty and dire situations will change your perspective of how blessed we are. The only way I’ll reach this goal to help others is if I obtain the knowledge first. It requires a lot of hard work and patience, but I know it will happen. My biggest goals are to change people's lives, provide for my family, and live a life pleasing to God. I grew up on a low income budget therefore I want to help people here that have less. I had parents that worked multiple jobs to make ends meet, and I want more than that for my kids. The bible says “He who is faithful with little, will be faithful with much.” I will be faithful with whatever I have now because I know an increase is coming. Increase for me and my family not just for us, but to help others. HVAC is the next step!
