Bio

I am trying to help those who blindly live in the era of technology and do not assess the risks they take unknowingly every day . The risk and data breaches are at a all time high, and with names of victims being sold for $300 dollars a pop. Breaches happen often for instance Yahoo, E-bay and countless others have been breached already and the risk goes up daily. There is not even a red flag, until 6 months after a cyber crime has took place. That is a window of 6 months for the criminal to escape and or cover their tracks. I want to be first in my family to graduate college and continue on my education and path of Cyber security. I do not have the money and tuition is not completely covered with all other bills, By financial aid. I would love to continue my dedicated path, Hope fully I will get blessed by one or some of you who read this. Thanks Christopher Heavin Computer, information, and science

I come from a broken home and family in a poverty state of mind and understanding. I will give a good chunk of my time and services, I gain from my college education and learning in the field of career I have chosen for myself. Many are low income or have torn apart families and all could use some help or miracle to keep there hopes intact.
      Bold Joy Scholarship
I have to say my joy and happiness comes from the reaction to what I do for someone or how it makes them feel. I love to be very considerate towards things or people that many others overlook. My happiness is rated by the happiness or joy I can give or share with others. To do something for someone that they themselves could not, is all in itself a very blissful and rewarding feeling. Even when you do an act of kindness for an animal it shows and is greater than one could know. One time when I was in my early twenties, I was walking by my apartment complex and noticed two friends of mine jumping and stomping on something, out of curiosity I ran over to see what they were doing. To my surprise they were stomping on a OPPOSSUM. This is a ugly animal and vicious they can be. Well I pushed my two friends against the wall and asked them if they might like it if I did this to them, as I picked up this full grown animal. They said sorry, But I scuffed at the remark. This animal was bleeding terribly and wide awake. I carried him inside and cleaned him up. All the time he could have attacked me. I put him on the back porch turned to close the door and grab some water, upon turning around he had disappeared. The whole time I carried him and cleaned him up he could have bit and attacked me. He did not, he knew I was trying to help. I get much joy from this memory and never forget why I did it and what it gave me back for doing such a stupid thing.
      Bold Loving Others Scholarship
When it comes to showing those I love that I care, well I let them know often. I take time to communicate, listen, give advice, and keep contact with them. It is not difficult to show how much if any that you care. I tend to buy them thoughtful gifts as well, my mother always showed her love by what presents she bought everyone. You can tell much by some ones attitude or presents that they give. If they take the time to listen or give sound advise. The most valuable thing you can give anyone is your time.
      Bold Perseverance Scholarship
Well a difficult situation that I personally persevered through was the loss of my mother. She twisted her ankle and on account of her husband, my stepfather refused to take her to the hospital. She wanted to go, but he encouraged her to lay down and rest. Well sorry to say she went to bed and never awoke after. The twisted ankle gave a blood clot that traveled to her heart and caused her to die. Now this was a very difficult situation, dealing with my loss and not getting retribution on my stepfather. Through grief and the Lord I was blessed to manage through this terrible and hard time, as well as forgiveness inside my heart to not hurt this man who without a thought or true care allowed my mother to be taken before her time. This will always remain one of the most difficult moment of my life and seems to be the number in ranking as well. I do not think anything will beat this moment as it still is just as hard as it happened only six years ago. I thank you for your time in receiving this and if you are still blessed with your mother , no matter the situation or relationship status remember, you only have one mother and will never get another one. We would not be here if not for a woman carrying and birthing us. This is a very important individual no matter how you look at it. God bless us all and our families. Amen.

I was wanting to do special effects and design. I changed my mind seeing how we are in a technology unsafe era, Cyber security just felt like the right path and choice. To protect people who just cant see the reality of the breaches and hacked internet that we all use everyday. our names alone are $300 in revenue per person. Yahoo and E-bay have been victims to breached data. You know how many use those two. These are only to name a couple. Not to mention it takes about 6 months before the flagging of a breach, this gives the crime and criminal 6 month head-start to cover their tracks or get away. I want to be first in my family to do something and get a degree. Thank you

My name is Christopher Heavin, and my career plans are relative and include fields in Cyber Security, Coding, and or Programming. I am a student at Houston Com-munity College working towards Associate of Arts in computer information systems pro-gram which consists of 121 hours of undergraduate academic credit. As I plan on transferring to a senior university pursuing the achievement of (BAS) Bachelor of Applied Science. My interests in this pursuit and goal were influenced by an incident I experienced just recently in the last couple of years. I received an email regarding someone logging into my Facebook account Being uneducated on this subject, I had no idea of the problematic situation I found myself in, although, common sense tells me that I should have known. After all, I knew it was not me logging in. So, I clicked on the tab in the email anyway, and then I saw all Chinese letters and symbols. Too little too late to act on the problem at hand, that is when I witnessed without consent my computer go from one corner of the screen fading slowly to a blackout across the entirety of my screen lost everything on the laptop, and the hard drive never booted up again. This angered me, as well as intrigued me, right then I decided I wanted to know how they did it, and how I could prevent it from ever happening again. I plan to Major in Computer information systems or computer science technology to achieve my goals. technology and informational era. Identity theft isn’t the only goal, cyber-attacks may aim to compromise data integrity (destroy or change data) to breed distrust in an organization of government. Cybercriminals are be-coming more sophisticated and changing targets, how they affect organizations and the method of attack for different security systems. Cybersecurity’s importance is on the rise, our society is more technologically reliant than ever before and there are no signs of it slowing down. Cybercrime impacts Economic costs, reputational costs, and regulatory costs, given the nature of the cybercrime, define how difficult it will be to detect. attacks are aimed at small businesses. 91%attacks launch with phishing emails. A business is a victim to a ransom-ware attack every 14 seconds I am in process of becoming a cyber security specialist or analyst. I choose the field of technology because this is the era and technology and informational age, as well as the demand, is very high on this kind of skillset and trade. Most breaches are not realized for at least 6 months that gives the perpetrator plenty of time to cover tracks and to get away. Not on my watch, I aim to be the Wyatt Earp of the cyber world. .Let us just say they don’t make them like me anymore and I don’t forget or forgive. If there are criminals in the cyberworld they are not going to like it when I arrive. I am not the one they want to be wondering about when I learn what I need to for the position I’m aiming for and there is nothing going to stop me from reaching the goal I set. I can discipline myself for any scenario like a chameleon my goals are more than achievable and will be accomplished. If I remain committed, I will succeed given my personal attributes and past lifestyle, If you have the want and the desire, then you can have what it is you want and desire.
