      Scholarship for Golfers
I started playing golf in my junior year of High school and I was able in that time to make the varsity team and continued to do so my senior year. And I was able to be proficient enough to gain and receive 3 offers to play college golf, and I was able to do this by following the work ethic of great players such as Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas to quote Tiger, "As everyone has said, from Hogan to Trevino to me, you go out there and dig it out of the dirt. You’ve got to put the time in." And with that mentality of spending summers in the hot desert heat outside playing and practicing from sunrise to sunset I was able to achieve great success in the game of golf. I am currently playing right now at Baker University I am a junior and I am currently majoring in Exercise Science with my goal of becoming a Doctor in Physical Therapy. But sadly I will have to give up golf due to my university price going up and with my current scholarship, I am no longer able to afford it. Golf has been an amazing sport for me to play but it has also been a true blessing in my life it not only allowed me to pursue an education but it has opened so many doors in terms of relationships I have made with the new people I meet out on the course while practicing and it was the gateway to help form these new bonds and relationship with the people I meet every day. Golf has taught me a lot about life with a lot of life lessons being shown out on the course and in competition. Lessons such as patience and not allowing mistakes or bad breaks to change or affect my attitude, as well as not allowing a little white ball and a number on a score card define my self-value and that there will be times when you are at an all-time high playing your best and that it can all change in a matter of seconds and when it does I am able to find a way to scramble and grind out not only a score in terms of golf but in the terms of real-life grind out and work through my issues and trials and tribulations instead of collapsing and succumbing to the pressure of life.
