      Your Health Journey Scholarship
Starting in 2022 I have been on an ongoing journey with my health. It did not take me a long time to realize there needed to be some change in my life. But it was a process of setting down a helpful routine and techniques that work for me. Physically and mentally I have been using multiple techniques that have helped me create a healthy lifestyle. Some of those techniques consist of mediating, eating cleaner, going on runs, going to the gym multiple times a week, taking vitamins, and journaling. When I first started I was not being consistent with them and was seeing little changes in my physical and mental health. I would feel tired and give up or not see the progress I wanted and feel bad about myself. I had to start being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Since then I locked in and became consistent I have been seeing major progress. Meditating has become something that is a part of my daily routine. Taking that time to breathe and relax my mind has helped a lot with my mental health. Also anytime I can I try to journal. Getting everything I am feeling on paper tends to make me feel a form of relief. When I am in a mood not to journal I love to reach out to the family of friends that I am comfortable speaking to. I have learned that holding my emotions in and not dealing with my problems cause a lot of stress on my mind and body. Doing some form of movement every day has shown a lot of change in my physical health. Daily I will either go to the gym, go on a run, walk, hike, or do any activity that consists of moving my body a lot. Recently I have been meal prepping all of my meals. It has become an easier way for me to plan healthier meals and stay away from fast foods. I also am working on eating less processed foods. While eating healthy, working out, and meditating I believe the best things that have helped my health journey are being positive and consistent. My positive mindset has made this entire process easier. Just being grateful for everything and being patient in seeing progress has also helped greatly. I know as time goes on that my health journey is only going to become greater and I am so excited to be experiencing this journey.
