FinalistBio
Hi, my name is Chloe! I'm a current high school senior who is deeply engaged in my community. I want to pursue a career in academia as a college Applied Math Professor in the future. I serve as President of my school's math honor society, where I raise $2000-7000 every year by hosting a middle school math contest and organizing volunteering to six school math clubs. I've conducted research over the summers at a prestigious math camp, and coauthored a paper that is now in review for publication in the "Discrete and Combinatorial Geometry" Journal.
I also compete in math contests, where I have placed in the top 50 girls in North America at the 2025 Math Prize for Girls (MP4G), and have qualified for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (5x) and MP4G (3x).
Furthermore, I hope to encourage more participation in STEM, especially from girls and minority groups. As co-founder of Girls4STEM Sugar Land, where I teach girls through weekly volunteering and camps, and as the Outreach Director of INTEGIRLS Houston, where I manage the 250+ member newsletter and advertise the biannual math contests we host, I have impacted over 300 girls in my community and hope to continue to do so.
Aside from math, I love writing poetry. My poetry has been published in national literary journals and won a Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Medal (top <1% in the nation), an NCTE Achievement Awards in Writing (top ~100 in the US), and a Bow Seat Bronze Award (top 5 in the US). I hope to continue making concrete progress in research and inspiring the younger generation through teaching and guidance.
