I am China Marquis Alexander Hall, 32, pursuing an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology through Wayne Community College’s Automotive Systems Technology (ATEP) program. Growing up, I faced significant challenges, including foster care placement at age 13 due to my mother’s struggles with addiction. Despite these obstacles, I turned my lifelong passion for cars into a focused career path. Since enrolling in 2025, I have gained hands-on experience in Engine Performance, Electrical Systems, and Automotive Diagnostics, working with both traditional and hybrid vehicles. My goals are to earn ASE certifications, complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Technology, and specialize in both traditional and electric vehicles. I am determined to improve repair processes, provide excellent service, and mentor future technicians. This scholarship would help me continue my education, sharpen my skills, and make a meaningful impact on the automotive industry while inspiring others to pursue their passions despite challenges.

My name is China Marquis Alexander Hall, and I am pursuing an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology through Wayne Community College’s Automotive Systems Technology (ATEP) program. This hands-on, two-year program provides training in modern vehicle systems and diagnostics, preparing students to succeed in professional automotive repair. This semester, I am enrolled in Engine Performance, Electrical Systems, and Automotive Diagnostics, gaining experience with both traditional and hybrid vehicles.
