I have a two-year-old daughter and I want to be the best I can for her. I chose to go back to school to ensure my family has a bright and stable future. I eventually would love to further my education with the possibility of one day attending med school. In the mean time I am performing the balancing act of being a full time student while working and still have time to be the best parent I can.

Bold Bravery Scholarship
As a human trafficking survivor, I was apprehensive about going back to school so late in life. I had been made to feel so worthless and I was so hopeless I was sure I would never amount to anything. I made the decision to overcome my fear of failure and further my education. I took a leap of faith and applied to college. A year and a half later I was accepted into a highly sought after radiography program that only accepts 17 students per year. I am maintaining my GPA and at the same time I and finding balance to be the best mother I can be. Never in a million years did I ever think I would be here today. Not only am I thriving in school, I am thriving in life. I think that’s takes a certain level of bravery.
