Hello, my name is Colton Hogue and this scholarship would help with my schooling very much. I come from a low income household with no college graduates. I will be the first one hopefully and will need a little help with paying for it so I can see my dream out. I have the only income in my house besides SNAP/food stamps. And that's with me only being able to work a part time job at 8 to 16 hours a week. I am going to college for Heavy equipment that way I can also do my other dream of being able to operate equipment like cranes and bulldozers to see something be created or destroyed. I've dreamed of doing this since I was young. And I have always wanted to do this. BI have also put my education first by maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA in high school and an ACT score of 22. I would also maintain 2 part time jobs while in high school to help keeping up with not only my own expenses, my families as well. Making sure all the bills are paid and we can keep what we have. This is my essay of why I would like your scholarship. I hope out of all the applicants you will choose mine that way I can help build a better world one brick or piece of wood at a time. Plus I can help as many people as I possibly can along the way.
