Hello, I would like to tell you a little about what I do and who I am. Currently, I am a junior in high school with a 4.0 gpa. I am involved in IAM:413 which is a Mentorship Program, the Grandview Wellness Committee, Saturday Academy via the University of Kansas City - Missouri, and Student Council as Vice President. All of that is great. But, I found a deeper interest in medicine as I went throughout high school. At first I simply began to explore the thought, but now it is my goal to become a doctor. Then I realized, as someone from a middle class household, with a single mother who was not a doctor but a director, and attending a high school with little opportunity for those desiring a 4 year university and a medical degree that the journey would be full of adversity. With all that I have and will overcome I don’t want to worry about the bills as well. That is why I am here and committed to invest in my own future by applying.
