"The Summer I Turned Pretty" Fan Scholarship
I am Team Conrad because being closed off emotionally he still cares a lot for Belly. Conrad, while emotionally closed off, has a real reason for feeling that way. He’s dealing with his parent’s divorce and also his mom dying from cancer. Belly, having known his mom Susannah for so long, understands what he is going through. Conrad and Belly have a unique connection that has been there since they were kids. Conrad understands what Belly likes and in turn, Belly knows what Conrad likes. Also, they don’t have to kiss to know they love each other. You can tell they are in love with them just being together. Conrad, while having difficulty communicating, still makes an effort to apologize to Belly for the complete mess he was at prom. He realizes he’s not in the right headspace to be there for Belly at that point despite how much it hurts both of them at the moment. He’s good at understanding other emotions but has difficulty showing his own emotions because it’s more personal and therefore harder to do. He also makes an effort to apologize to his brother. Overall he’s a good person who always has good intentions and wants to make everyone happy. And this is something Belly can help Conrad with as they have shared experiences regarding Susannah. He also is the one who fought to save the beach house and despite initial tension with his brother, his aunt and his dad he’s able to do it because of his persistence and determination. Conrad's issues stem from what happened to his parents and having Belly there would help him. Conrad can also comfort Belly because he understands where she’s coming from. Jeremiah on the hand might seem very friendly and happy but he is very manipulative. When he’s mad or upset he shows his toxicity like when he kisses Belly even though he knows she still has feelings for Conrad. In addition, he also dragged Belly into an argument with Conrad that had nothing to do with her, guilted Conrad for not being around for Susannah when he was at college, called him a coward & said he didn’t want to know him. Then the next day on the beach he doesn’t let belly talk about Conrad or her feelings when he goes out to comfort her and he doesn’t apologize to Conrad for what he said and instead lets Conrad apologize to him.
Zendaya Superfan Scholarship
I admire her acting career because I feel like she is one of the rare former disney stars that was to transition to adult roles with her personal life from getting affected. She doesn’t really have any baggage or drama and seems well adjusted as an adult. I also like that she didn’t give up singing. In the greatest showman she sang a duet with her co-star zac efron rewrite the stars that was super popular. Add to fact that her character in the movie was a circus acrobat and she along with her co-star did their own stunt work shows how dedicated she is to her craft. I also love her work in the spiderman films. Her real life persona of quirky and relatable (at least in public eye) translates to her role as MJ. She plays both the happy and sad moments perfectly allowing the audience to really connect with her character. And while I have not seen euphoria I have seen a few clips and really admire how zendaya is really able to embody rue as a depressed teen who also takes drugs. It really shows how great her range is and how talented she is as an actress.
Taylor Swift ‘1989’ Fan Scholarship
One of the songs that has captivated my admiration from Taylor Swift's renowned 1989 album is the extraordinary masterpiece titled "Blank Space." This remarkable composition not only showcases Swift's exceptional musical prowess but also exemplifies her audacious and empowering approach towards female empowerment and self-identity. With an astute sense of irony and sarcasm, Swift subverts the societal clichés and norms imposed on women, particularly within romantic relationships. In this song, she fearlessly embraces her own sexuality and agency, defiantly defying the labels and stereotypes thrust upon her. "Blank Space" resonates profoundly with women who yearn to express themselves freely and confidently. It serves as a melodic anthem, encouraging women to take pride in their individuality and assert their desires unapologetically. Beyond its empowering message, "Blank Space" is an expertly crafted piece of music. Its lyrics are cleverly constructed, blending intelligence with humor, while the melody is irresistibly catchy, leaving an indelible mark on the listener's memory. Swift's vocals are both commanding and charismatic, breathing life into the song with flair and self-awareness. The song's production is equally exceptional, characterized by a pulsating beat and a richly layered instrumentation that immerses the listener in its captivating sonic landscape. Undoubtedly, "Blank Space" stands as a testament to Taylor Swift's artistry and resonates with a wide range of music enthusiasts, including devoted Swift fans and avid pop music enthusiasts alike. Its ability to simultaneously entertain and inspire is truly remarkable, making it a song that I find myself joyfully returning to time and time again. Swift's artistry is not only evident in her songwriting but also in her ability to connect with her audience on a deeply emotional level, transcending the boundaries of mere entertainment. Her songs have the ability to transport you to story in a way that is both captivating and emotionally rich. In conclusion, "Blank Space" is an outstanding song that exemplifies Taylor Swift's immense talent and creative genius. It encapsulates her bold and unapologetic approach to female empowerment and self-expression, inviting listeners to embrace their individuality and challenge societal expectations. With its impeccable craftsmanship and infectious charm, "Blank Space" remains an evergreen favorite that continues to captivate and inspire audiences across the globe. As a passionate music enthusiast, I find immense joy and satisfaction in experiencing the magic of "Blank Space" on repeat, appreciating its profound impact on both the world of music and the lives of its listeners. I hope you consider me when reviewing applications for this scholarship.

Book Lovers Scholarship
The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green is a book centered around reviews of the many different things that exist on this planet. I listened to the audiobook about two months ago. Everyone should read this book because acts as both an autobiography about the author and a storybook full of very interesting stories. This makes it feel more personal and also lets us understand who the author is just based on the book. If you like to read autobiographies and learn about different things about this planet this book is for you. It's a book that allows us to learn about the many different things about this planet and also what it means to be human. It's a book that everyone can enjoy because it's not written to cater to any specific demographic. It's a book that reminds us how great our planet is and how many amazing things we have accomplished and the many great stories that have occurred. Topics such as Dr. Diet Pepper, The Yips and Monopoly. As far as the autobiographic element the author tells stories about himself regarding topics such as Academic Decathlon, The Plague and The Internet. This book combines the best of the autobiographies regarding personal stories with reviews/deep dives into the many things on this planet created by humans that have reshaped how we think and see our planet. It's a book that details our planet and the many things humanity has created to reshape the planet in complex and interesting ways.
Your Dream Music Scholarship
The song that has the most important message to me is Numb Little Bug by Em Beihold. Even though the song was written about being numb to the antidepressants due to the anxiety that Emi Beihold had and how it sucked the soul and energy out of her, I relate to the message of feeling tired of life. Like I feel that is a universal thing that everyone has felt at some point in their life. Feeling tired of life and not feeling like doing anything. Everyone can relate to this especially having gone through the last two years with the quarantine and the social and political unrest. Also, this song makes this feeling easier to deal with as the song has a very upbeat pop feel that helps spread the message further. Also, this song came out on TikTok in 2021 one year into the quarantine and it was the perfect song to get people through that difficult time and now where many of the issues affecting society still exist. This song reassures us that other people feel the same way and that we are not alone in the internal struggles we are facing. It turns a very depressing feeling into something that everyone can find humor and fun which makes it more bearable when you go through it.

Ms. Susy’s Disney Character Scholarship
My favorite Disney character is Peter Parker aka Spiderman because he is good person but still makes a lot of mistakes. He is flawed character that always tries his hardest to do the right thing. He has always has the right intentions when he is doing something. For example, when he tries to prevent Adrian Toomes aka the Vulture from escaping with alien technology on a ferry he end ups making a bigger mess. Adrian Toomes and his goons end up using their weapons against Peter and in the process cutting the ferry in half. Peter Parker ends up having to saved by his mentor Iron Man. As Peter Parker grows up in he still makes a lot of mistakes like when he accidently gave stark technology to Quentin Beck aka Mysterio. Yet despite his many missteps he still strives to do the right thing even if it means sacrificing his personal life. Peter Parker is my favorite character because goes through human things and also his story is relatable. Peter Parker was bitten by radioactive spider and suddenly he has all these powers than suddenly give him a huge responsibility to protect his community. He has to balance being a superhero and being Peter Parker. This is something everyone can relate to. Having to find a balance between your personal and professional life. In addition, most people have good intentions whenever they are doing something. It may not go the way you planned but you learn from your mistakes to do better. That is what Peter Parker does at the end of Spiderman no way home. He tells Doctor Strange to erase himself from everyone's memory. By doing everyone can start a new slate having forgotten about the mess that had occurred. Peter Parker sacrificed himself for the world but specifically for his two best friends Ned and MJ. By having the memory of Peter Parkers erased from everyone's mind Ned and MJ were able to get into MIT no longer being associated with Peter Parker and the chaos and destruction that ensued with the multiverse. He choose to protect his friend and put his friend before himself. That makes not only a good person and hero but someone willing put others over himself.
Lo Easton's “Wrong Answers Only” Scholarship
I deserve this scholarship because I am not motivated at all. I am lazy all the time and don't do anything. My academic and or career goals are to work on a 9-5 job with no goals beyond working and watching tv. A time when I overcame an obstacle is when I watched tv all day.
Bold Hope for the Future Scholarship
The one thing that give me hope that the future will better is there are lot of people in the world advocating to make the future better whether that be directly or indirectly. Sharing activist posts on social media or protesting in the street about important issues. People with good ideas running high level positions. Basically there a lot of people trying to make the world better. cleaner energy. more diversity in the workplace. equal opportunities for people. Social change for the better. People promoting cleaner lifestyles of living. People coming with new ways to live. Younger people running for office to make changes in the government that have been neglected by many politicians. Young people using their platform to effect change at a national level. People coming together to protest a certain issue. For example, the recent leaked document to overturn roe v wade. People protest in the street and many posts online where shared about it. People spoke out about issue from regular citizens to people in government and entertainment and business. SNL even did a sketch about highlighted how absurd the leaked document was. The leaked document referenced a event that happened in Europe in the 1300s regarding abortion. The sketch made fun of that and by doing that raised awareness about the issue. There are so many activists doing great thing to make changes in society. There is also a lot of companies trying to make plant based food to reduce the amount of meat that humans eat. By eating less meat it can make the effects of global warming less. So a lot of change is happening in almost every field you can think of. People are making strides to improve or change something that they feel strongly about. That is good for society and the world.
Bold Meaning of Life Scholarship
The meaning of life is to live your life to fullest. To make the most of every opportunity in life and take all the chances you can get. As for me I try to try to achieve it by getting involved at school. Participate in activities. Talk to people. Learn new things as I grow up. Life is about the experiences you make and the people that we there with you. Some of those experiences might be just by yourself but you know you made the most of it because you cherish those experiences. Also seeking out new experiences. As a person currently in my sophomore year of college I'm involved on campus managing the social media for the school's environmental club. Because I'm still in my early 20s I haven't had a lot of job experience. So I take any job opportunity I can get to learn new things, gain experience and making money to support myself.
Bold Growth Mindset Scholarship
I keep a growth mindset by always looking ahead and looking for new opportunities. I am open to change since that just a part of growing up. Things change sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worse. But you have to work through it and accept it as they come. Going through these experiences help push me forward in life to not give up when the going gets hard. And sometimes things don't work out the way I want them to. Sometimes its ok to just take break to reset and come back with a refresh mind and sense of purpose. Having a growth mindset means having balance between working and relaxing. It's a balance of the two. It takes time but I have gradually gotten their. Some things have changed as I have spent more time at home such as taking the time to get out of my room to relax and reset. Before the pandemic going to my room was sometimes my way to relax. Now that has changed a little bit. It's all about accepting change and growth as they come and living life to fullest.
Bold Wise Words Scholarship
The wisest thing I've every heard was LIFE IS LIKE A CAMERA; FOCUS on what's important, CAPTURE the good times, DEVELOP from the negatives and if things don't work out Take another shot. I didn't hear this for someone necessary but I have seen it in the past twice in classrooms. I just thought it was very interesting quote that really makes sense. This quote at the heart tells people that it's ok if this don't work out the first time. You can always try again until you get it. And that's kind of what I've been doing specifically in college. Originally I wanted to major in Film in college. But after taking 2 film related classes in high school I decided it was wasn't for me. My Academic Decathlon teacher told me he was communications major so I decided to switch my major and so far it was worked out pretty good.
