Bio

Hi, my name is Charis I am an international student from Zambia studying in the US, and to be honest, I’m just really in need of financial help for my tuition which my mother cannot afford. For the past 3 years, I had been struggling with cancer but I managed to beat it thankfully and as of 8 months ago am in remission. It has been a rough 3 years for my family and I as my father passed away not too long after I got sick which was really hard on my family and me as my father provided our main source of income. My mother sent me to the United States to get a good education and better medical facilities in the hope to better improve my 3 little sister’s and I's livelihood and also because my father always wanted me to study abroad, but unforeseen financial hardship is hindering the continuation of my ongoing college education. Ever since my father passed away I have been trying to be there for my mother and my younger sisters to the best of my abilities but it’s hard sometimes dealing with loss and my health. I want to be an industrial-organizational psychologist and in the future hopefully a good businesswoman. I dream to be a philanthropist once I’m settled and comfortable financially. I would eventually also like to start a non-profit organization mainly focusing on helping students who need financial assistance because I know what it’s like to struggle financially and not know if you’ll be able to finish college and get your degree. I’m very big on giving and helping others in need which is something my father and mother instilled in me growing up & I’m grateful for it.
